The lady in the office at the senior citizen center where I used to go before quarantine has a poodle that comes to work every day. We wore all wore different color shirts on different days, like purple on Thursday, and safety yellow on Monday. it is a medium sized white poodle and always had on a t-shirt in the color of the day.

The poodle always came to yoga classes and did the downward dog with us. Dogs can be so smart.

Hope you get your ho****er working soon. Glad there is place where you could shower. Have fun the grandkids.

Good Morning and Happy Fri-YAY! JB- Love all those pics and I can't wait to see your new "do". I do hope you can get work stuff out of your mind for the weekend.

Accountability: I had a few extra snacks that I could easily blame on my precious Lily for waking us up at midnight and not calming down (in and out of the window sill and then when we tried to close the door she would run down the hall trying to bust it open.)

QOTD: Nope! My FIL loved the stuff though.

My 14 year old gray cat, Gracie, decided to go outside last night and sleep on the glider. This is the first time she has tried that in over a year. I was not going to go to sleep and leave her out there so finally picked her up and carried her in at 1:30 so I could go to sleep.

She was really upset and started shaking and acting like she was going to vomit. It was about ten minutes until she settled down and went to sleep. She was raised outside of town and I had a lot of fields and a cat door and she used to come and go as she pleased. Now that I am in town I can't let her do that and she still misses the freedom.

I let her outside in the daytime and she stays on the back patio, but I watch her constantly to make sure she is OK. She usually comes right in when it gets dark, but I know she loves the cool autumn nights and wishes she was back at the old place where she could run in the woods and play.

I love my baby and worry when she is not happy and purring. It is just me and her and I hope to keep her for a long time.

Hope you have a nice relaxed weekend, because Monday does not sound like fun. I always thought October was a great month. Back to school was over and holiday preparation was still in the future. Just calm, peaceful days, beautiful leaves, and warm weather with comfortable humidity and great football weather. I would love to go sit in a packed football stadium again.

Black licorice has always tasted too strong to me. I do love the anise flavored pizzelle cookies. Some people use too much anise thought and I just want a hint of it. For a while there was a hard candy with anise that I liked too and I like the black jelly beans, although it might be 20 or more years since I had any.

My mom read an article once that black licorice was good for your health and she wanted us to eat it everyday. I thought it was awful and worse than medicine. Luckily she did not insist. I do like red licorice but know now that it is just sugar and flavoring.

I have not mastered the uploading of photos yet so I have nothing to share. To answer the question - I absolutely love licorice. It is one thing I will miss after surgery. I read that article on the gentleman who died from eating a bag and a half a day I could so relate to that because I do like it but I also know how it affects blood pressure so I am careful. It is definitely one of those treats I could eat daily.

Breakfast - cold brew coffee with almond milk and sf syrup (If anyone has some suggestions on syrups to try other than torani, please share. I am getting burnt out on the sf vanilla) Caramel chia pudding.

Lunch - turkey and cheese deli roll ups and a side salad.

Dinner - The hubs wanted to go to bbq and I am going to get some brisket (no sauce) and a salad.

Snack - Greek yogurt and sliced strawberries.

Since I started participating on this post I have lost 3 lbs. It isn't much and it is nothing compared to what the rest of you have lost but I feel like I am going in the right direction.

Yay for the 3 pounds! It is best not to compare! We are all on our own journey at our own paces. Be very proud of yourself!
