What's on your Monday Menu?
on 9/21/20 6:41 am - Amarillo, TX
Good morning menu friends.
i woke up yesterday with a sore throat. Attributing it to the smoke. Well...I am full fledged sick this morning. Yay..... my throat is still sore but now I'm sneezing and my nose is a faucet turned on. Feeling pretty rotten.
So no big plans for today. I'm going to try and take it easy. The reason I think I'm sick will be over today...LOL. My nephew had the same symptoms Friday. I'm hoping for some time to take a little nap as I slept maybe 2 hours last night.
qotd: it's hard to pinpoint one thing. Eggface was a HUGE help I learned about here. I think the biggest thing I learned or was helped by is the honesty here!
b: 2 turkey sausage links, udi bread, plant based butter, coffee
l: veggie patty, 1 tbs shredded daiya cheese and a pear
d: omelette with onion, udi bread And plant based butter
s: kiwi, popcorn and maybe another coffee
Mel
Sorry you are sick - yes, the honesty is really helpful!

Good Morning JB and Menuers,
Welcome back from a nice weekend. Hope everyone was able to relax and regenerate. I was able to a little bit but Saturday I did baking and cooking for Saturday night bonfire and I got Mom's Hair cut and colored and also gave DH a haircut. I did get up and run on Saturday but I passed on it yesterday. This morning became a must run day because I didn't yesterday and it required me wearing gloves. I think it was below 40° but I managed to get through it and I am done. It is only going to be in the 60's today so maybe after work I'll do a hot tub.
Today is already Wednesday in my book. I have 6 more vacation days I need to take or loose by October 21(my 24 year anniversary here) I am going to take advantage of it. If the leaves have changed enough we may go for a fall foliage ride to see the fall colors . But with that said we still have not put the cover on the pool so we have to get that winterized as well this weekend.
That photo is crazy beautiful. I don't know why but it reminds me of the Asian garden in the Mirage in Las Vegas. I can't wait to see more photo's.
Pittsburgh is opening restaurants up to 50% capacity. I think I am done with restaurants for awhile. I just see these numbers getting worse now with this in place. I don't understand how Wash your hands, wear a mask, stay 6' apart and stay at home is so hard for many people.
QOTD: I got a recipe for a French Onion Meatloaf on the OH recipe page that I make at least 2x if not more a month. And I did not know about everything but the bagel seasoning and I can not live without it now.
Accountability; Well is was the weekend and a bonfire. I did do some marshmallows on the fire but I did not do the chocolate or the grahams. I made individual muffin size cheesecakes I may have had 1 of those and some cookies. I also dug into a jar of peanut butter that has raspberry and white fudge in it. It is very good but I know I wont be able to buy it again. It is dangerous.

Good morning, all!
It was chilly on Friday, and when I got home from golf, I started having flu symptoms. Fever, chills, muscle aches, dry cough. I went in to get a COVID-19 test on Sunday. I just got my results and I am negative, which is a huge relief. I do feel pretty lousy though.
QOTD: i used to make the Ricotta bake

Oh Jim Sorry your under the weather but glad your negative for the Covid. Will you try to sweat it out or will you hang out in the bed and nap it away? I myself like to sweat it out. Just wondered your preference.
