What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?

Good morning! Happy Fri-YAY! Well surprise, surprise--yesterday was pretty quiet after all. And apparently the union came though with a last minute exception to today's in-person day for some of the schools where the infection rate is the highest, and those happen to be all of my schools, so I won't have to deal with any kind of sick-out today! Yay! It's a Friday Miracle!
Tonight we are heading to the Zoo lights with a friend. Is starts after I usually am in bed, haha, so I'm hoping I can take a nap this afternoon before we go out. But otherwise it should be so fun! Nothing else planned this weekend. I want to just lay super low, finish my book, do some crafting and cooking... the usual :)
Here are my pics! First up--isn't it crazy that all the way here in Boston we had smoggy skies from the West Coast fires?
Then, as promised... a ridiculous local place. We drove past it on last weekend's "adventure". Is this a TERRIBLE name for a camp or am I just 12? I laughed for 30 minutes straight.
QOTD: What is something new you learned recently? Mine is boring, but I am self-teaching myself some better Excel skills. The kids I work with are such wizards and so fast and I feel like an old dinosaur compared to them, so I have been practicing making my own v-lookups. I think I get it now! I am also still practicing my Spanish every day. Today is day 172, and I am on the second checkpoint, now. Things have suddenly gotten a LOT harder! They are a lot less forgiving about spelling errors now.
Morning. My food is totally up in the air today, because Walmart never showed up with our groceries yesterday. They were "out for delivery" an hour late compared to when they should be delivered, then showed as "arrived" but not "delivered" for many hours. I got the delivery email at 1:15am this morning, but there are most certainly no groceries here. Customer Service told me that someone would contact me in within 48 hours to talk to me and issue a refund. I'm afraid to re-order because I don't want it to happen again! I can not wait until I can move to a different delivery service in January. I don't want to waste my money.
QOTD: I listed my first couple of items on Ebay the other day. It's been around for 20+ years and I'm finally selling vs buying!
I don't have a picture of anything weird locally here, but back at home there are some pretty famous toilet gardens that a guy made because he was made at the town and now has been in a battle with them for 10+ years. Also, there was a restaurant called "Between the Buns"

I abandoned Walmart for Instacart. I don't like the company anyway, but the two out of three times I used the service, it sucked. I figured out the instacart hacks that ensure way better service and I am rarely unhappy, now.
Sadly we can't get Instacart here at this point. Our neighborhood is new enough it's not mapped for them for some reason (or there are parts that are, but parts that aren't).

Good morning everyone!
i don't have anything ridiculous near me but here are some pronghorns I saw on Monday afternoon, about two mikes from my house. There was also a predator but I didn't get a good picture, it moved like a coyote but looked like a cat - big for a bobcat, right size for a mountain lion but wrong area for that. The other picture is just one of my pix from Scotland a few years ago that I used for my zoom backdrop this week. I am rotating pictures of my travels and pretending it's like taking a trip.
qotd - I am learning a ton about the zoom interactive tools like append, breakout rooms, etc. I also have done some keto baking which is new and has had very mixed results.
i am going to try to relax this weekend and not work at all. I have training to become a text-banker for the next few weeks and also a virtual Bookclub with some friends, otherwise I really want to spend some time planing, cooking and portioning meals for next week.
I have no idea when the food choices for today will be.
happy Friday everyone and enjoy your weekend!

I have never heard of a Proghorn! We don't have them in Boston :) Cool!
Yes, I am a zoom pro now, too! I can't believe that before March, I had only been a participant a few times--now it's my primary workspace 8+ hours a day!

Fun pronghorn facts - they are native to North America and their nearest genetic relative is the giraffe! Although many people assume they are a type of antelope.
Part of their natural plains habitat is very close to me and it's part of a green space/preserve area.

Good morning all and happy Friday! I'm so ready for the weekend! It's been one long and stressful week. My groceries are supposed to be delivered this afternoon. Fingers crossed they aren't out of anything on my list. My accountability was good again yesterday. The weekends are what I worry about because that's when I tend to get off track with my eating. Hoping to stay strong though so i can finally break my weight stall!
QOTD: I am learning so much about compulsive eating with a couple of books I've purchased. Still need to finish reading them so hoping to do that this weekend. It's just so interesting to learn what different food cravings actually represent.
