Good morning!

The humidity definitely seems reduced today. YAY for that. I've got a semi busy day ahead including a PT appointment. Had dinner with my girlfriend last night, so enjoyed sitting and catching up. Shared fajitas as I thought. Ate a bit more than usual, but still way under on calories yesterday. But nailed the protein range, so I am thrilled about that.

QOTD: We've got a couple of small things happening to look forward to, like taking the grand girls out camping next weekend. But, I am now laser focused on Thanksgiving. We have Cabo plans. The plane tickets are booked and the AirBnB house is rented. I've been watching carefully and I've had one friend go successfully. I'm responsible for chartering a day trip on a catamaran. I've got to start figuring that out. This will be our third Thanksgiving in a row in Cabo, and we go with our son and his girl, and a couple other friends. I feel like we are mostly at the rented house pool, or out in the open, so I'm feeling pretty safe about it. The plane ride is just under 2 hours. I'm very excited about going and even ordered a new sundress in a size extra small!!

Menu:

B: coffee and 1/2 PP shake. Chicken bites and maybe 1/4 C cottage cheese in a bit.

L: left over tri tip and broccoli mash again today. That's the last of it.

D: Breaking out the wok and going for Mongolian beef. Fried rice for the hubs, cauliflower "fried" rice for me. Need to use up some of the fresh ingredients that we bought for our first try.

S: haven't been needing one of late, so hopefully that will continue.

Peace everyone!

Morning! We were woken up at 3am by a work outage and never went back to bed. So it will probably be an early night over here. I used to get up super early all the time, but lately it's been 6-6:30am so that was early!

QOTD: We have a beach vacation planned (renting a house, will bring in groceries) the 2nd week of October.

My Food:

  • Coffee w/ Cream x3
  • Fish Quesadilla (one section) + veggies
  • Chicken Parm - probably that will mean baked chicken breast topped with sauce and cheese. Kids will eat it over pasta and I'll have some veggies.

Put me on the no sleep train. I found out last night that a long term colleague friend passed away so had to make a number of notification calls so people didn't find out on social media - that happened with another long term colleague about two weeks ago...and while making the calls, found out a 3rd passed away last week. I am grateful that my HRVP realizes how close the team up here is and made sure to call and I'm grateful for the friends that jumped in to help with the calls.

Sorry for the language but 2020 can kiss my ass...and so can being an adult.

Qotd - I am looking forward to 1/1/21. I just planned a trip with friends to a music festival in Key West at the end of April so I'm looking forward to that too.

I don't really have a plan for today but my usual coffees, I had a grain free English muffin with PB and I'm focusing on water, water, water.

Still have the Brussel sprout in my jaw/ear area so I think I am going to put myself in quarantine until it goes away. I'm sure it's not anything but I'd hate to be wrong and make someone sick.

sorry to be such a downer today. Hope you have the best day you can and tell your people you love them!

I am so sorry for your loss and that you had to make those difficult calls. That is never easy.

I saw a meme on Facebook yesterday that said the expression "Hindsight is 2020 was actually written by a time traveler and we did not realize he was referring to this year"

Take it easy for a while and hope everything will be fine soon.
