Good morning, happy Wednesday!
QOTD - I am looking forward to cooler weather, a new fish pond my husband is installing, plans for a weekend away at a local haunted hotel. I am really just enjoying making future plans, even if they don't happen till next year. Except for that cooler weather and fish pond.
Back in the office. Ugh.
Breakfast - fasting, so hot coffee, water.
Lunch - vegan crunchy tacos (hubs too!)
Snack - apple with peanut butter, pack of dried fruit with nuts
Snack - dairy free yogurt with chia seeds and hemp seed hearts
Dinner - No idea. May start my fast early.
Have a wonderful day y'all!

Good morning JB and Menuers,
My week is actually going by quickly. I am not sure why but I am not complaining. It was 46° this morning for my run. I may need to actually put on a sweat shirt here soon and gloves. They say the smoke from the California fire**** the air stream and is now here in Pittsburgh it is very smoggy and hazy. The weatherman said that the smoke is holding the temperatures down since the sun really is not shining through it. That gives me hope that once it clears out we will see warmer mornings.
JB Sorry you had a bad sleep last night. DH has a bad back and unfortunately we now have separate bedrooms. He has such a hard time sleeping he would keep me awake all night. The tides have turned because before surgery it was my sleep apnea that kept us in separated bedrooms. My Doctor said to wait till mid October to get the flu shot so I guess in a couple weeks I will get it done. I get one every year and I agree your arm does hurt for a day or 2 after. I guess it's better than the flu.
QOTD: We have a show at our local casino it is a Johnny Cash tribute band that is supposed to be fantastic. This was scheduled for May but they keep backing it up. We could get our money back but there are 20 of us with reservations so we just keep waiting it out.
Accountability: I had an Almond Blueberry mix from Aldi and a Tuscan white bean salad that I snacked on.
Accountability: I looked in the garbage and there were wrappers from 100 calorie cashews, lily's chocolate covered caramels, and a laughing cow cheese.

G'morning everybody!
Warning: rant coming.
SDSU (son's college) yesterday announced that all kids who are in the dorms need to be COVID tested. DS is part of the first group today. I was like yay, finally a concrete step to keep this under control. But then I made the mistake to go on FB to the page of SDSU parents and holy moly!
- my kid's constitutional rights are being violated.
- Why is it that since the pandemic any rule, including masks, becomes a constitutional right?
- The school is doing anything and everything to accomodate the students and parents but some of these parents are really entitled.
- No football, or any contact sports: you have a group of parents up in arms that how dare you take football away from my kid.
- School tries to do some sort of football but not on campus. How dare you do it away from campus. How do they bus?
- School provides bus; how dare you bus them, how about social distancing?
- Labs are open; why are labs open but classes online.
- Labs closed due to parties off campus; how dare you close labs.
- And the most tone deaf of all: why can't my kids rush for Greek life???
I wish I could actually talk to these people. We are in the middle of a pandemic. Be grateful school is semi open. If your whiny frat guy who lives off campus, throws one more party they will shut the whole thing down and the kids will come home. Then you really have something to whine about. Also, the people from SDSU who answer these entitled parents must be saints or taking a lot of valiums, because they always answer professionally even when the parents are just plain rude and selfish.
OK, rant over.
QOTD: remember I shared DS lost his wallet with all of his docs? The replacement docs are trickling in. I'm looking forward to take them all and show up in person in SD to give them to him. I still gotta test the "air" because if he really doesn't want me there I won't go. But that's a good excuse for me to check on him. Other than that I'm looking forward to Halloween, although don't know how this year will be; will there be any trick or treating?
My meals yesterday:
- B: coffee + scrambled eggs
- L: hb eggs + quest chips
- S: WW muffin (I broke down and made them again. Let's hope I can keep it to one a day)
- D: left over salsa chicken + jicama wraps (I'm IN LOVE with the jicama wraps)
- E: 5 miles jog
Happy hump day, everybody.

AMEN to all of that, Sheila. It's ridiculous. People have lost their minds, and their sense of empathy. The entitlement is insane, isn't it? Why wouldn't you want your kids' school doing testing and mandating masks to KEEP PEOPLE SAFE. The long-term effects of COVID-19 are not yet known and even if it's not killing 20 year olds, you would think containing it would be in EVERYONE'S best interest.
Sorry, my mini rant over too ;)
These people are crazy!
