What's on your Tuesday Menu? ?

Hello my friends! Yesterday was the first "normal" work day I have had in many months! It was glorious! I am fairly confident that we have turned the corner and it should be quiet all week. I have heard rumors about teachers planning a "sick out" on Friday, so it might all come crashing down then.... but if everyone could just behave for the next few days that would be great!
Food was...okay. The good news was that I actually ate what was on my menu--no substitutions or changes--yay! The bad news was that I added an evening cookie. I think all of the crappy food from this weekend is out of the house (i.e. eaten, lol), so time for a cleanse.
QOTD: It feels like autumn here! What is your favorite thing about the fall season? I love everything about fall in New England. Apple picking is by far my favorite activity. We go to a place nearby where I grew up, and it's tradition to pick apples, drink hot apple cider, and pick out our pumpkin. I also love the changing autumn leaves, and I love going for chilly walks in the woods to see the leaves.

Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday! JB, hoping for a calm week before the potential sick out for you! I have a week of 4, 5 and 530 starts but I am trying to end at a reasonable hour and declining the 3:30 and 4 pm meetings on those days. It's small steps towards balance.
I have a lymph node between my ear and jaw that is suddenly the size of Brussel sprout and it hurts.....I"m guessing I'm fighting something off but no fever and outside the Brussel sprout node, I'm feeling fine. It made me realize how much healthier I am in general since WLS. Also, even when I had mono for 6 months as an adult, I don't remember my lymph nodes swelling...but probably I just couldn't feel them through my layers of insulation back then!
QOTD -- the thing I love about fall is it's not summer. I really dislike the heat. I love the cool to cold mornings, having the windows open, needing to wear a sweater or jacket and that it's the beginning of boot season! It's going to be 89 here today so although we had a 24 hour period of winter, we're right back to summer. 80s through next Tuesday and then it looks like it starts to drop to fall temps. No rain in the forecast in the next 10 days...and I heard yesterday they are saying that for at least one of our fires, they don't expect to have it contained until the end of October (Cameron Peak fire). The dumpster fire of 2020 continues, apparently.
Menu today is a bit touch and go
Coffee plus half and half X3
Light and fit greek
Probably some cheese and salami
not sure on dinner
have a great day everyone!

Oh nooooo--the one time in my adult life that I had a huge swollen lymph node with no other symptoms, I went to the doctor and she said--"you are fighting off something big", and then 2 weeks later I finally succumbed, and got a terrrrrrrible cold that lasted the entire school year (I was teaching 1st grade at the time). Sending you all of the healthy vibes in the world.
Grim and I are getting our flu shots this afternoon :)

thank you for the healthy vibes! I'm trying to get back into meditation and this morning my mantra was "healthy immune system, healthy immune system", lol
