Do you eat the buns with the hot dogs and hamburgers? I am always impressed with those who still don't! I always do with hot dogs and most of the time with hamburgers.

I haven't had surgery yet but I would like to join in so I can start working on new habits and such. I hope that is ok. I have been starting to meal prep and while my portions are calculated out to 1200 cals all day I am focusing on proteins.
Breakfast - egg white omelet with mushrooms and swiss.
Snack - two baby bell peppers with cream cheese and everything bagel seasoning.
Lunch - Chicken salad (made with greek yogurt and seasonings) wrapped in butter lettuce
Dinner - Baked seasoned chicken breast, dinner salad with fat free dressing and roasted broccolini.
I love iced coffee and I do worry about this being an issue for me post-op. So, if anyone has any good wls friendly recipes for iced coffee please share. I normally have cold brew and creamer with some vanilla syrup and I love pumpkin spice lattes in the fall. I am going to miss those.
thank you for letting me participate today.

First of all a big welcome!
you can find copy cat recipes for the iced coffees and lattes. I usually fix a pumpkin latte once a year or so. If I can find the recipe I'll make sure to share it. the biggest misconception is that you have to give up all these foods. You change the way you eat but you can still eat good stuff. I had to be off coffee for a while but you should eventually be able to have it again. Moderation is the key.
again, welcome!

Welcome! We are glad you're here. For my coffee, when I make at home I use Sugar free syrups and Fairlife milk. At Starbucks, still SF syrup and either coconut or almond milk. It is just very important to get adequate fluids in from other sources since dehydration in a concern for us post op and coffee is a diuretic.
You just need to change your syrups to Sugar free if you have not done it already. I started back to regular coffee about 8 months out. So nice to see new people. I hope we can make you feel comfortable about your decision. I wish I knew about OH before I had my surgery. I think I would have been less scared.
