Mornin' All!
We're having the routine Sunday morning coffee date with the moms at 10:30. I was going to go for a bike ride beforehand, but I'm dragging this morning, so I'm not going to have time. Luckily, it's a gorgeous, sunny day and will top out at about 70 degrees (perfect biking weather!), so I'll go this afternoon. It'll feel great because I'm feeling really blob-like and waterlogged this morning. I didn't overdo it on calories yesterday, but I had too much sodium (over 3000 mg). Feeling it. No other plans other than I need to make myself read - not sure why I haven't been motivated to do this lately. I've been wanting to spend my spare time online instead. I guess it takes less brain effort...
QOTD: I don't really have a favorite bird, but I get a kick out of all the wild turkeys around here (and I live in the city!). I don't think we had any ten years ago, but now they seem to be everywhere. Taking back their territory, I guess...
TSS: 5y3m
B: lemon/blueberry yogurt pie, coffee with half & half
MS: Fit Frappe
L: if we're home, maybe an AmyLu chicken sausage and a cup of black bean soup. But I'll take a protein bar with me this morning in case we're NOT home for lunch
AS: vanilla Greek yogurt with raspberries
D: turkey sandwich (on Fit & Active bread). Some kind of vegetable
have a great day, everyone!
Good morning! It's been very humid here (for us) and hot while the sun is up. I'm having a difficult time getting motivated. Today's big adventure is going to a totally Asian grocery store to look for ingredients. We are going to try to make Char Siu. I've always known it as Korean bbq pork, so I'm excited to try it and make wok sir fry vegetables. We got our new wok last night and I sweated over the stove seasoning it. That was a bit of work. I hope I did a good job.
QOTD. Eagles and Hawks, raptors in general. We have a Cooper's Hawk who hunts from our tree and he is just so cool. We always know when he is out there because the mocking birds start getting crazy noisy. Their own neighborhood watch system.
menu.
B Left over shrimp enchilada inners and retried beans
L. I'll either skip or eat some jerky, 1/2 PP shake
D. Hopefully Char Siu! And veggies.
Peace everyone.

I always loved the story of the ugly duckling becoming a beautiful swan. A lady in our town had a pond with swans and I would always drive by and admire them. But one day, she told me that they had been her late husband's birds and she was actually afraid of them. I guess they can be quite mean. They are strong and will chase and try to bite intruders.

Good afternoon all! I'm a bit late posting today. So my mom does something cruel yesterday. She texts me a picture of this huge box of gourmet donuts and says "I was bad today. Which flavor do you want me to bring you tomorrow when I come over?" I'm like please don't bring those donuts to my house! Sigh....sweets are my weakness and I have absolutely no willpower right now with it being that time of the month.
Accountability was pretty good yesterday considering the strong cravings I've been having. Thank God for surgery free fudgesicles!
QOTD: I love birds so this is a tough one. I think cardinals and blue jays are beautiful and owls are definitely interesting creatures and I even have a few displayed throughout my house. I have a soft spot for chickens though because I grew up with them. We had this one chicken named Henrietta, but we called her Henny who would follow me around everywhere and I could not sit outside without her jumping up in my lap and falling asleep. We also had this one really tame rooster named Colonel Mo who would perch up on my shoulder and eat right out of my hand. I'm fond of ducks too. The RV Park we camp at every year at the beach has tons of ducks who are very tame. You can find them walking all around the campground. We used to feed them, but they don't allow you to feed them anymore.
B: coffee w/Splenda x 2
B2: premier shake
L: carrots with hummus and a laughing cow cheese wedge
D: leftover salmon and broccoli that I did not eat last night
S: L&F yogurt and a banana
Surgery: RNY on 1/23/19
My sister bakes delicious and beautiful cakes. She offered me a piece. I did ask for a tiny piece with no frosting and she put a huge piece loaded with frosting on my plate. I just picked up the plate, took it to the garbage can, and tossed the cake in.
She never offered me cake again. It seems mean, but you might have to do that with those donuts.
