What's on your Sunday menu?

Good morning everyone!

Today might be a little busy for me but only if my brother and his family come over. I'm betting they will. We have to run to Sam's when they open and I need to get some canned pumpkin & gluten free baking powder. I swear I forget just about everything lol.

What's your plan of action today?

QOTD: What is your favorite type of bird?

mine is a tie between barn owls and cardinals. After my grandma passed away we started seeing a cardinal couple...something that is kind of rare here in town. I was once chased by a huge barn owl but he was gorgeous!

food was rather cruddy yesterday. Someone (cough cough me cough) thought it'd be a good idea to try GF cookies. Yes they were fabulous and no I will never buy them again.

b: egg, udi bread, banana and coffee later

l: rest of the fennel cabbage mixture and turkey kielbasa

d: great northern beans made in my pressure cooker...with ham..onions and garlic

s: popcorn, kiwi and cauliflower pretzels.

have a good day everyone!

Mel

It is gorgeous clear day again on Cape Cod. I sure hope the air has cleared somewhat for our West Coast folks. We take so much for granted sometimes...

I had another fantastic day with Mike yesterday. He loved the deconstructed pizza casserole I made so much that he asked for the recipe (LOL). Another way I feel so lucky these days. Today I am going with SIL and DDs to a family baby shower. So exciting to have a little one in the next generation finally! I am doing a joint gift with the DDs of bunches of soft clothing (all sizes), diapers and books. But I also washed and repaired 13 sweaters MIL had knitted for my son which I am going to bring from her (pictures below). It is almost 2 hours away so it will be a long day!

QOTD: Good question! Probably cardinals though I love seeing and listening to seagulls on the beach. Because I love the ocean so much, they are a big part of that. I don't like how much they can be scavengers though...

TSS: 4 years, 5 months

B: Coffee!!! WW banana and egg pancake

L: Baby shower food

D: Leftover chicken and veggies

S: More baby shower food

I'd take a plover over a seagull any day.

What a wonderful idea to give those beautiful sweaters as a gift from your MIL. It is fantastic that things are going so well with Mike. Have a wonderful day today.

Thanks! MIL passed away in 2017. She would have been thrilled to welcome her first great grandchild.

Morning! It's been pretty gray and dreary here in NC for the last few days (some rain, some just clouds and humidity) so I'm looking forward to a nice sunny day with temps only in the low-80's! We've had a nice couple of days with my daughter's boyfriend at his father's house - but today we're back to playing supervisor and chauffeur I'm sure (we like him a lot, it's just a lot of work!).

QOTD: Well, I'd have to say chicken, mostly because I loved owning chickens when we lived in a rural area. We occasionally see them in people's yards when we're out and about and I always feel jealous. They have such personalities and they're just fun!

My Food:

  • Coffee w/ Cream x3
  • Cucumber, Cauliflower, Pepperoni, Cheese, Dip
  • Smoked Chicken Wings, Red Potatoes, Asparagus

I have never had chickens so it is fascinating to hear that they have unique and interesting personalities.
