What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?
on 9/11/20 1:45 pm - Amarillo, TX
Back with my menu.
B: oatmeal(will be gluten free after this morning) banana and coffee
L: egg, udi's millet chia bread, one slice and plant based butter 1/3 tbs half an apple
D: will be chicken chili and maybe 2 oz of turkey kielbasa and a kiwi
S: popcorn with just violife Parmesan style "cheese", 2 chicken sausage links and I was a little off today with this already...2 GF cookies(5 points!) and a rice milk chocolate to hit a craving.
I feel like a lawn mower with an endless gas supply! LOL. Should be about 5 points shy of my point limit...give or take a few.

Congrats on the 100# -- you are right to give yourself grace; you've been dealing with pain for a while and you are still trying to do all the needed things in this marathon.

Happy 100!
On the bright side, I think it would be really hard to be overweight without dairy or gluten--those are my nemeses!

LOL! I felt the same before too. Now that I've had some of the allergen free stuff I see that they are really good too. But you have to tend to make them or make a special effort to buy the, so it's easier in my mind.
thanks!

Mornin' All!
well I woke up a stress case again - this is happening far too often. I'm pretty sure it's a combination of the pandemic and the current political situation. Luckily, it's still "warm" (well, 50-something, so not warm....but at least not raining!), so I can get out on my bike and work some of this off. I don't know what I'll do when the cold weather comes.
not much on the agenda today. I'm meeting a friend in 45 minutes to take a long bike ride - about two hours. I have no idea how to dress in this cooler weather (for biking) - I guess I'll layer and take a backpack with me to stuff unneeded clothes in.
JB - I'm doing more gourmet cooking as well. I love, love, love my Christopher Kimball IP cookbook - everything I've made so far has been great. I think I'm going to order his "Tuesday Night" cookbook today. It's quick meals (which according to the reviews, aren't so quick - but then, I'm retired, so I don't care!). I'm not big on baking, so I guess this is my spin on pandemic cooking...
accountability was good yesterday (finally), and weight was fine this morning, so no damage done during my couple of bad days. Whew.
QOTD: I usually get into bed around 11:00 and read or surf until I fall asleep - which is usually around midnight or 1:00. It's unusual for me to sleep later than 6-ish because you know - cats. Cats wanting food. 7:00 would be pretty late for me.
TSS: 5y3m
B: lemon/blueberry yogurt pie, coffee with half & half
MS: a protein shake (it'll be when I get back from biking - so late this morning. But that's good - I eat less when everything gets pushed back by an hour or two)
L: turkey sandwich (on Fit & Active bread), cole slaw made with peanut dressing
AS: yogurt with raspberries
D: 2 Costco chicken skewers dipped in peanut sauce, elote-style corn
have a great day, everyone!
whoops! Had to come back to add my photo - I almost forgot! This is me and DH from last weekend - we took MIL on a day trip to a town about an hour north of here. It was so nice to get out for the day!
