What's on your Wednesday Menu?
G'morning everybody!
For those of you working bees, very happy the weekend is near. JB, I sent a version of that meme to my trainer, a while back. Sometimes the stuff she asks me to do is just plain impossible! Just this week after seeing the new routine she sent me o asked her if she expects me to stand up with both feet up!
You know, I was dreading the empty nest before my son left. But now that we have settled into our routines I am actually enjoying it. As you guys might remember, I've been doing the "lady of leisure" since Jan due to all and any events being cancelled. I was used to work from home, infact I had been WFH since DS was born 18 years ago. DH had been telecommuting twice a week before COVID. Now we are both home full time and I thought with no kid we would get on each other's nerves but so far so good. We miss the kids but life is not empty. DH works hard as ever and I try to keep busy. We plan hikes or bike rides without anybody rolling their eyes at us, we no longer have to plan around our little monsters. And Luna, our little princess, is always happy to go with us.
QOTD: I am one of those weird people who doesn't listen to music much. For me it's more the rhythm rather than the songs, if it made me move I liked it; so I would say the 80s.
My meals yesterday:
- B: protein coffee
- L: ground turkey w/taco seasoning and salsa
- S: hb eggs
- D: shredded curry chicken & roasted Brussels sprout
- E: 4 miles wog
Happy Hump day, everybody.

I wouldn't mind a bit of empty nest again... I always liked that the house looked the same when I returned to it as when I left - no additional dishes, clutter, etc. It feels like a revolving door lately- DSD left this morning for a few days with other family members and DS returns this afternoon after a few days with friends.

It must be fun though to have adult kids back at home. I know it's under unusual cir****tances, but I hear from so many college kids parents that they relished those extra months that the kids had to come home in March. On the other hand, those who were planning on kids being gone this fall and have to keep them home, mostly freshmen, can't wait to kick those guys out. LOL

So glad you guys are finding a balance. I hope my DH gets his back pain under control so he can start doing outdoor activities with me. I would love to go on a long bike ride. Maybe next summer if all goes well with the neurosurgeon. Fingers crossed.

Happy hump day! Today is a gray day so Mike and I are going to watch a movie this afternoon. He went with me to meet some friends for dinner last night and I think it went really well. One was DH's closest and longest friend.
QOTD: I guess the 70's would be my favorite oldies decade, but I really like modern country. I love the stories with the melodies.
TSS: 4 years, 5 months
B: Coffee! WW egg and banana pancake
L: Leftover lobster, tuna and cottage cheese
D: Shrimp and chicken plus veggies
S: Cheesecake yogurt pie with strawberries

I think that for most people, their favorite music era is the one in which they were a teenager. For me that is the 60's. I still love anything by the Beatles, as well as all the war protest and folk music that was popular then. Leonard Cohen, Joan Baez, Peter Paul and Mary, and so many more.
I bet you are belting out the same songs you belted out when you were 13.
Enjoy the long weekend. I think you are doing fantastic on your diet and exercise.

Good morning menu friends.
It was a rough night pain wise. I?m really really sore and really REALLY tired of being sore. Oh well I guess...
I have a zoom appointment and a phone appointment today. After that I don?t know what the day holds. I?m hoping not much. I need to get a couple of packages ready to ship out tomorrow.
QOTD: I love a lot of music. It?s like asking me which kid was my favorite LOL. I love early Green Day(and usually most of their stuff). Hard rock is most likely my favorite genre followed by punk type music. I listen to the Beatles, country, bluegrass and some rap/hip hop....though not a lot of the later.

l: Hawaiian cauliflower rice & 1/2 tsp honey
