Good morning, everybody!

JB, I found that my schedule this week is really front loaded - Monday and Tuesday are filled to the brim, Wednesday is mixed and Thursday/Friday are a desert. So maybe you have a weeks worth of activity crammed into a couple of day?. Or maybe your slammed because its the begining of the school year and the whole week will suck.

My youngest starts his junior year today. They are online, but trying a different approach than last year. I think this will be much more interactive.

QOTD: We have done some re-decorating as the children have moved out of the destructive years, so we would probably keep it as it is.

Breakfast: Egg sandwich

Snack: Protein bar

Lunch: turkey

Dinner: Steak

Have a great day, all!

Good morning! Starting my day with 79 emails waiting for me, so it looks like it's going to be a busy day. Should fly right by! Last night was our last at this campground. Really enjoy it there! I've already made reservations to go back. I've enjoyed trying out new recipes on the grill and I seem to be down a pound or so. #winning! Then we are home for 2 days and off for a 5 day weekend. Because everything keeps getting cancelled, I have a bunch of extra PTO days that I'm trying to get in.(So sad New York City, I'll try again in the spring).

QOTD: Heck ya I'd change things up! We did a total remodel that wrapped up the end of 2018. And while I love how the house looks, I'm already starting to say things like, oh a new comforter and drapes would give this space a fresh look. Or, this couch is not a comfy as I thought it would be. It's only a matter of time before I start on that stuff. I love how it looks now, and I'll have fun coming up with a new look.

Menu

B: 1/2 PP shake, coffee, and the carbmaster cottage cheese I did not eat yesterday

L: left over B L T A with the bread removed

D: Totally TBD. Our restaurants just opened for indoor dining at 25%. Maybe we will take a walk and contribute to the economy.

Peace Everyone!

Good Morning! JB- I'm so glad you're taking a nice long weekend, you definitely deserve it. We are starting to get hazy smoky skies again with bad air quality so I'm bummed about that. At least I couldn't be running outside right now anyways. I may try the elliptical for a bit this afternoon if my swelling seems better since I have no pain.

Accountability: I don't do well when I'm sleeping on the couch and up and down all night.

QOTD: I think I'd leave it similar just a fresh coat of paint again. And, a new kitchen table.

Good morning! Hang in there JB-you are half way to you 4 day! I can't imagine the stress for teachers and admins but you are doing a great job. When I am feeling defeated at work, I remind myself that I don't think any of us woke up this morning and said "today I am going to do a bad job"-gets me through!

QOTD-when i moved lived in the missionary, there was so much crap everywhere-it made me crazy-it was near hoarder level to be honest. I had a tidy little space and I kept the kids rooms organized, but the rest was chaos. So when I moved into my little house, I vowed to not create that chaos for myself and have gone extreme the other way. Very little decor and very minimal furniture. So I basically have a blank slate, everything is very neutral and I am not sure what i want yet. I mean I have been there for 3 years, whats the rush?!

Weight is up and I am feeling out of control again. I have a surgery coming up in October so I would like to reign things in before then. I just need to quit whining about it and actually do it.

B-ham and eggs

L-tomatoes and deli roast beef

D-sloppy joes and air fryer sweet potato fries

Good morning JB and Menuers,

How did I know in the back of my mind your 8 hour day was not realistic. I am so glad your getting to the Cape and out of the house for some you time. You absolutely deserve it.

Still nothing from Ford. I do have the Edge back and it seems to be driving just fine but if they give me a good offer I probably am going to go with. They have left a bad taste in my mouth the way they have dragged this out and treated me as though I am not appreciated as a 37 year loyal customer.

Nothing exciting going on in my life. The only thing different as Fall is ascending on us my morning run gets darker and darker. One of the dog walkers had lights on the dog this morning because it was so dark. I am going to look into getting something lighted to keep me safe. I do run in a neighborhood and I see less than 5 cars while I am out but I am thinking better safe than sorry.

QOTD: No I am not big on decorating and changing things around. As long as it is clean I am happy. I only change it up if I am forced to get something new because the old wore out.

Accountability; I had pizzellas w/coconut whipped topping, Peanuts, and the 7 ingredient coconut crisps that I buy at Aldi.

You absolutely should wear lights if you run in the dark. Safety first!!!

G'morning everybody!

Whoops, yesterday by the time I realized I hadn't posted it was too late to post. Hope y'all had a great weekend. DH and I went for a long bike ride along the coast which was lovely.

Since the shelter in place orders came, beginning of March, I've been keeping track of weeks in my workout notebook. To begin with I thought it would be funny to see how many weeks I'd be working out from home, by the time I got to week 12 (3 months****pt keeping track to see when this madness ends. Well, we just started week 25, people! That's more than 6 months!!! It's crazy! I would also like to report that around week 4 I challenged myself to do planks. I started with 45 seconds and every week I added 5 seconds. This week I am finally at 2 minutes. I know somebody here posted they did a 10 min plank, I don't think I will ever be able to do that, but I'm happy with my 2 minutes and I'll keep at it.

QOTD: yessss! We have some dark wood furniture that were custom made for the previous house but I don't think it goes with this house. This house is more beachy and has white wash wood in most places. I'd love to change those but DH is attached to those dark wood pieces. It's actually 3 pieces. The entertainment center in the living room, our bed, night stands and dresser/drawers. One of these days I'll convince him.

My meals yesterday:

  • B: protein coffee
  • L: stir fry cauliflower rice & scrambled eggs
  • S: barebells protein bar (I allow myself 2 a week)
  • D: meat loaf & spinach/beet salad
  • E: 30 minutes cardio + 50 minutes strength training

Happy Tuesday, everybody.

That is so cool you journaled your work outs. That is awesome you did 2 minute planks. Because of the hernia surgery I had I am not able to do core exercise. I would love to but I have to just stick to cardio for now. I guess running it is until I feel comfortable back in they gym.
