Good morning! I think the weather after tomorrow is supposed to be pretty nice here on the Cape so I am glad you have someplace to go!

I have a bunch of end of summer social events over the next week, with several of them being me introducing Mike to friends or vice versa. I need to carefully watch the eating and drinking or my weight will be out of range by the end of next week!

QOTD: I LOVE decorating questions. And btw, I love your house and especially what John builds. So beautiful! I mostly like how my Cape house is decorated, though I wouldn't mind replacing the master bedroom furniture with something more white and cottage styled than I have. I would also like to paint the two spare bedrooms pale gray (they are beige right now). Finally, if I stay here indefinitely I'd like to either replace my kitchen and bathroom cabinets or have them refaced. I have granite countertops and the cabinets have been painted white but the quality of the doors is not great. Oh and if money is not an issue, I would replace the tile flooring in my kitchen and two bathrooms with wood. Likely not happening... In Florida if I were to change anything it would probably be swapping out the furniture. It is good quality rattan and very tropical but some of the styling just isn't me (I bought it furnished).

Good morning everyone!

School officially starts in Amarillo ISD. I think it?ll be a disaster but hey...what do I know? Just very worried about this. My nephew starts preschool next week...I?m more worried about that than the nieces schools.

I?m really exhausted. Finally talked my mom into letting me ride my stationary recumbent bike yesterday for 10 minutes. It felt good! The seat does hurt my tail bone but I?ll try a different cushion next time.

qotd: I?d change EVERYTHING. It?s all my mom?s stuff and she has three china cabinets full of stuff and other stuff everywhere. While it?s cute I like a more minimalist kind of decor. Not extreme. My mom likes her little treasures but they are not fun to dust. I?d get different furniture and carpet and get it painted cool colors.

b: 1 slice toast & egg with turkey breakfast sausage and coffee

l: egg sandwich with light small English muffin and dairy free "cheese"

d: Hawaiian cauliflower fried rice with a tiny bit of honey(less than a whole tsp for the whole shebang)

s: popcorn, waffle, piece of mango and 1/2 oz jerky

I entertain often. If something should fall from a shelve or break people think I will get mad. My theory is It is one less thing I got to dust. I very rarely buy stuff you have to dust. If I have it is was probably a gift.

I have some things I love like mineral & gem specimens and some Mexican folk art. It all fits in my bedroom. I would so love to not have all the stuff my mom has. It's all worth some money but I just don't care for it. It makes her happy though.
