What's on your Monday Menu?
Ok, I am am so excited for this. I like that they have James Marsden as Stu, because those are big shoes to fill. I love Whoopi as Abagail, etc.
I have so many questions and thoughts. I cannot WAIT! I am going to re-watch The Stand this week. Also, can we update the name to be Captain Trump instead of Trips... LOL!

Let it begin with me.

I am on board with the renaming. I watched the mini series again within the last year. It's still so good. I gave it to my nephew to watch and he liked it but was cracking wise on how dated it was...I mean, just because Larry has to use the phone at the bar...with the cord, lol. Gary Sinise was so good...really all the casting was so good!

Now those taco masks ARE funny!
I couldn't believe how cool it was this morning. It never ceases to amaze me how quickly we go from summer to fall around here. It was 55 outside when I walked Justice and 66 in my sunroom. I closed the windows and turned the gas fireplace on to heat it up.
Mike is coming mid-morning. I haven't seen him for 3 days, the longest since the first week we met. We are both looking forward to being together again. I think we may take a walk along the Cape Cod Canal.
QOTD: The Three Stooges. I always hated that show. Senseless slapping and stupid jokes.
Accountability: Pretty much none over the weekend. I need to get back to planned eating this week...
TSS: 4 years, 5 months
B: Coffee! WW egg and banana pancake

It dropped down to 48 about 4 this morning! I opened up all the windows so now the house is cold but I love the fresh air.

Mornin' All!
a glorious weather week ahead, so I'm hoping to do a lot of bike riding and maybe a kayaking excursion (I actually got DH to go on Saturday evening - he loved it! YIPPEE!). I also had to make a modification to the bylaws of an organization I co-chair yesterday and realized how out of date our Web site has become. Amazing how quickly that happened (we've been on hiatus since the first of the year because of COVID, and will be at least until the end of THIS year, and probably 'til next summer). So I'll probably start working on that this week as well - or soon, anyway. It'll be an especially good project when the weather gets cooler and we're trapped in our houses again.
I'm meeting a friend in 45 minutes for a bike ride - which will probably include a stop at a coffee place for a latte. Other than that, no plans. Classes at the university start on Wednesday. I'm auditing two for sure (two history classes) and am waiting on instructor approval to audit a third (an introductory astronomy class). I also need to get my MIL going on a class she wants to audit. She was late applying to the university and also missed the deadline to get her permission to enroll in the class stuff in, and of course blames the university rather than herself - so this will take some work to make sure she gets into her class. ARRRGH. Hopefully it'll all work out with her -- she's a negative person in general, and this hasn't helped.
I've been eating at the top of my calorie range the last few days, so I need to get back down to the low end. My weight was up this morning, but I think that's more due to all the sodium I had yesterday (dinner was 3 oz of this processed turkey breast thing I found at Aldi's, plus stir fried Szechuan vegetables (also from Aldi's) - both of which were really salty. So I'll be pushing the fluids today, too.)
QOTD: I'm with a lot of the others on comedy. Some I find pretty funny, but a lot of it, I don't. I especially don't like vulgar stuff.
TSS: 5y2m
B: cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie topped with blueberry compote, coffee with half & half
MS: probably an iced latte with 2% milk and SF syrup
L: I'll probably have that turkey and Szechuan vegetable meal again, even though I could do without the sodium. But it's pretty filling and low-cal, so...
AS: Fit Frappe, L&F yogurt with raspberries
D: maybe I'll FINALLY get around to the vegan "burger" on a skinny bun idea....
have a great day, everyone!

Good Monday morning everyone.
yesterday was a long day and it was a long night. My stomach was sooooo upset during the night. It's still really noisy this morning. Also lots of pain in the back & legs. I'm so tired! Ugh. I've discovered I can't have anything dairy. I don't think it's the lactose I've got an issue with. I see my GP in a few months and I think I'm going to ask for one of those allergy tests.
turns out during that storm the hail did bust one of our storm windows. Not horribly so we're not even going to mess with it.
qotd: I reek of sarcasm so I tend to gravitate towards that. I'm not big on stand up. Oh and the three stooges for me too! Will Ferrell is one for me too...not funny at all to me.
b: oatmeal with a small banana...coffee
l: sirloin steak(3oz) and some sort of veggie...prob small potatoes
d: veggie burger patty and a slice of bread
s: popcorn, pear or strawberries,

Good Morning! I'm gonna whine for a minute or two. It has become necessary to take an exercise break, I've been pushing through some injuries and I need to see if resting will resolve them. I am going to be "productive" about it though and try and take care if a few underlying issues (runners toenails - lol) while I'm taking the break. Always a multitasker. I am stubborn and have been trying to run through the pain but I've got to do better at self care and listening to my body's signs. Also, continuing to whine, hubby and I got our flu shots yesterday and it was recommended that we also get the pneumonia vaccine and so we did.....although I've never had too much of a problem with the flu vaccine but this pneumonia one! My arm and upper body on that side are very sore and I was feeling tired and rundown in the afternoon. My hubby felt the same symptoms but worse and fever on top of it. Hoping he feels better today.
Accountability: See above whining, I think I ate all the food in the house last night to "feel better". I will reign it in and move forward.
QOTD: ok, I'll get slack for this but Monty Python.... sorry I just didn't get it.
