What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu? Menu?
Good Morning and Happy Friday!
Enjoy the tacos!!!!
I am hosting a birthday weekend...I used to live in a missionary home in the inner city of Cleveland and we were foster parents to dozens of kids. I lived with a priest and a nun and lots of kids for 15 years. Today is the nuns birthday and we always have all the former foster kids and their kids come for the celebration! Its a lot of people! But because of Covid we can't host the whole gang in the big house at one time, so its been moved to my house and we are splitting it up over a few days. Its a lot to host, clean up, host again, and do it all again on Sunday... and I have a big yard, but a tiny house and it looks like rain all weekend so we will be inside. but I love love love seeing everyone and even the ones that have gone astray still somehow manage to show up for this. It will be exhausting but really fun so I am glad to have it!
QOTD- Not my favorite thing to do, but I can do it when necessary. The first time I spoke in front of about 100 women, the next day my hip was killing me and I couldnt figure out why- my friend told me that it was because I rocked side to side the entire time I was speaking! So I am now very aware of my movement while speaking.
B-Coffee! and more coffee-trying to save points for a big dinner!
L-tomatoes mozzarella and basil
D-Steak, baked potato and corn on the cob (hopefully the kids and Tim will man the grill while i get everything done inside!) maybe some birthday cake
Snack-blackberries and raspberries
Ex-morning bootcamp finished before the rain came! still working on getting extra hydration.
Edit to add a photo-this is my sister and I after completing the Santa Barbara Triatholon in 2016. I am here to report, if you are going to torture yourself with Triathlon SB is the place to do it-really, really beautiful! 2 things I learned that day: Ohio hills are a lot different than California hills and you can't train for an open water ocean swim when you live on the great lakes! I'm in the orange. this popped up in my FB memories today and I am struck by how the older we get the more she and i look alike! She is 5 years younger than me.
i also wanted to add a comment about that cookie jar! I LOVE it!!!

Good morning! Glad you all survived this tough week. JB, I can't imagine. They have just announced that my granddaughters school will be reopening 2 days a week in late September, then full time in October. If you don't go back, they won't guarantee that your child will get the teacher they currently have. Both our girls love their teacher. The little one is in a Spanish immersion program. That program is very much at risk of elimination. My daughter is a bit freaking out and a bit pissed off. The rules are changing daily and it's very frustrating. I can't even imagine what it is like on the teacher/admin side.
Tacos. When did you get brave enough to try one? I mean, just go for it tortilla and all. I need my corn tortilla fried, so I have been avoiding them. But they are calling my name!
QOTD Not entirely comfy with it, but if it's about the Foundation or work, I am passionate about those two things so I can pull it off fairly well. I've been on TV, radio shows, etc and done ok. But I do NOT like it.
Menu -- I added a snack yesterday.
B coffee and 1/2 PP shake. Carbmaster cottage cheese later on
L Costco ind. size roasted chicken bites and light string cheese
D grilled chicken thighs possibly going to use one of those egg thin tortillas to try a mini quesadilla with it. Salad if room.
Trying for a no snack day.
Peace, everyone!

G'morning everybody!
Your meme cracked me up. Not a good sharer when it comes to chocolate. So happy for you, JB, that the insanity is coming to an end. I'm not even in your shoes and I feel the stress. Your new haircut looks good. Girl, are you going blonde?
I had a dumping episode last night. DH got us jumba juice on the way home to have a mini celebration for our anniversary. I tried choosing the most sour and least sugary one but I guess it was no use. I didn't even have a 1/3 of the cup when I started feeling the effects. It wasn't pretty.
QOTD: I'm a confident speaker in person, but I too have noticed on zoom I hesitate. It's the delay that I always worry about.
I was exposed to a before pic of mine that I hadn't seen. My SIL posted this pic on fb, to my horror. To be fair she was posting a memory of 7 years ago when all of her niece and nephews (my kids and her brother's kids) were together. We had an outing and she took several pics. In this pic I'm actually trying to walk away from the shot while she is taking a pic of my family. I can't even recognize that woman. She looks sad and so uncomfortable. Funny thing is that I thought by wearing all black and a long cardigan I could hide all the lumps. I still wear a lot of black but don't need to hide much. What a difference in 7 years.
My meals yesterday:
- B: coffee+ WW 1 pt muffin
- L: hb eggs + tuna
- S: WW 1 pt muffin (see? I can't keep just to one)
- D: left over chicken curry + left over shredded pork
- S2: jumba juice
- E: 30 minutes cardio + 50 minutes strength training
Have a great weekend, everybody.

your old pic looks better than most of mine (but then, I was heavier than you!). I got so tired of my sister posting unflattering pictures of me on FB that I rigged up my timeline so I have to approve of any photo anyone posts of me before it goes on my timeline (granted, some of them weren't necessarily awful pictures - but at my weight, they were always unflattering!! Plus I didn't want my childhood, college, or early adult-era friends seeing how heavy I'd gotten!)
You look fantastic now but the black clothing and long cardigan ring a loud bell. Oh yeah, there were many in my closet.

I haven't had my hair colored since November but all of the sun I am getting is turning me blonder every day!
That was my go-to "before" outfit, too--all black with a colored cardigan. I always told myself that people only saw my thin black silhouette inside the cardigan, lol.
