What's on your Thursday Menu?

Good Morning everyone! We made it to Thursday! That feels like a big win for me. I had a quieter day at work yesterday, which was good. I didn't meet my goal of stopping at 8 hours, but I ended at 9.5 hours not 13... and they day itself was less hectic and frantic, so I am happy. We have a 1/2 day "retreat" today which should be interesting. About half of the staff opted to go to my bosses' backyard to attend in person and half of us are staying on zoom. I have no idea if it's going to be successful or not. I am a presenter for a big section and I will be on zoom. I really hope it goes well!
Not sure if any of you are in Hurricane Laura's path, but I'm thinking of everyone who may be affected! Geez, 2020--can we get a little break, here?
Accountability: On plan all day but someone (hmmm?) brought home cookies and I succumbed after dinner. I also had planned on going for a walk but I never made it.
Good morning all! I am so glad I'm off today! Just wish I wasn't spending my morning getting a cavity filled! Ugh. Anyway, my accountability was pretty good yesterday. My menu did get switched around a little bit, but I didn't eat anything off plan.

Hey!! That's my dad and my brother. Dentists are good people, they are just misunderstood!

You are right! I love my dentist (when I lived in Miami for two years on a work assignment, I made all my dentist appts when I was home just to keep her) so I should say dental work is the worst, not the dentist!

Thanks! The appointment went well. Was hoping I wouldn't need to get the shots for the anesthetic since last time I didn't have to because the cavity was so small. However, this time I had to get it because the cavity was so deep in one of my wisdom teeth. The needle is the part I hate the most. It went quickly though and I love my dentist....never felt a thing aside from the little ***** from the 2 shots of course. Haven't really been able to eat anything though as my mouth is more sore than I thought it would be. Tylenol hasn't really helped much. Hopefully by tomorrow it will feel much better!
Once it was all done my dentist tells me just to be careful eating ice cream as I could have some sensitivity. Oh if he only knew how much I wish I could eat ice cream period! Lol

When we were in Golden, there would be a light coating of ash covering our car each morning and we were over 100 miles from the fires.
