What's on your Wednesday Menu?
G'morning everybody!
Shoot, woke up in the middle of the night to the smell of smoke. Wind directions changed and now we can smell the fires to the north and south of us again. Air quality had just gotten better here, but today it's down hill again. You can feel a tickle in the back of your throat.
Has anybody tried barebells protein bars? They are a Swedish brand. I noticed them yesterday, for the first time, at Trader Joe's in the new product section. Knowing myself, and that I treat protein bars like candy bars, I bought only two: caramel cashew, and cookies and cream. OMG! Guys! They are good, especially if you put them in the fridge. 20 grams of protein and 16 grams of carb. In comparison to other protein bars the values are actually better. And if you go for net carb this one is zero, but my nut told me to count all the carbs. Anyway, if you have a TJ nearby try them.
QOTD: nope, nothing. Unless you count the tea infuser I took when my grandma passed.
My meals yesterday:
- B: protein coffee
- L: Costco chicken skewers + fage yogurt
- S: barebells protein bar (1/2 of each flavor)
- D: shredded pork over stir cauliflower rice
- E: 30 minutes cardio + 50 minutes strength training
Have a great hump day, everybody.

Sheila! I made my TJs nuts run on Saturday and bought one of each of these bars since I'd never seen them before. I had the cashew one for breakfast after my hike this morning - o m g. Way too good, I'm glad Tjs is a special trip for me so I don't have easy access to these.

Right? I'm trying to limit myself to two at every shopping trip, which is once a week.

Good morning, afternoon and evening to you all
Today has been a trying day as my children have stirred the pots and something is definitely brewing. So... Flipping...EMOTIONAL!!!!! AND... How does one teeny tiny child have to go pee every two seconds after she's just gone! I've asked her if it hurts when she goes and she says no and does not appear to be in any discomfort.
As if my hair wasn't falling out enough already!
ok, breathe!
Breakfast: Swanson Chicken Bone Broth with 1/8 sliced pear
Lunch: Folio Wrap with 5 slices Black Forest Turkey, 1 slice of Bacon, One slice of Tillamook Cheese, red onion, 1 TBS Mayo, and 1/4 Avocado (Insert Bruce Almighty's "It's Guuuuudddd" here)
Dinner: We are smoking brisket right now and adding G. Hughes' Honey BBQ Sauce to it, and I am making our own coleslaw to add on top. That will be good in a bowl
Snack: String Cheese and some Tortilla Chips. also, about 5 pumpkin seed/mixed nut clusters from Costco
I am eating all day, but I am checking off 3 each: protein, dairy, fruit, veggie, starch and fat on my dot diet sheet. These are the actual foods I ate. I had cheese to check off the dairy and fat dots. I know this is a crazy way to eat, but it seems to be working. I read in a tabloid that a woman ate all day and lost 137 lbs. Today is my 5th day and I am actually eating about 1600 to 1700 calories compared to the 2000 to 2300 I had been eating. My blood sugars are holding more steady as well. Tri
