I have no talent or craftiness at all and I have really tried through the years. But anything I do ends up looking like a kindergartener did it. My talents are all in math and English. I do like to write and may publish someday.

What JB and Grim do is incredible. The T-****s are so beautiful. And so it the scarf and hat. What amazing talent and attention to detail.

Being the oldest in the family, I had a very strict mother. My father was hands off. He made the money and my mother made the rules. Now my mother got more flexible every year. By the time she was in her fifties, and I was grown up and married, she decided to be really cool.

So one Christmas, she bought fancy roach clips for my younger brothers and sisters. She told them to smoke marijuana in the house, so she did not have to worry about them being arrested. She was very upset one night when my youngest sister was picked up by the cops for smoking weed at the local playground. She told the cops that they needed to go out and catch criminals and leave kids alone. My sister was 14.

I had a young son at the time. I made it clear that they were not to give him weed. She listened but would give him things like a whole box of Oreos and tell him he had a mean mother when I would take them away from him. I tell my younger brothers and sisters that they were raised by a completely different mother than the one I had.

Mary, you HAVE to watch this. My DD always told us we were so much stricter with her than with DS. She loves this comedian and when she saw this piece she kept repeating it to her brother. It's hilarious.

Good morning everyone! JB, you've really got me looking at Cri-cuts. I'm currently working on trying to justify to myself the expense. LOL. Yesterday turned into a super busy day, and we quadrupled (!!) our daily number we try to hit in sales. Hoping for another good day today. So far, we have exactly zero. That will definitely change real soon. Zero plans this weekend. Thinking a grocery store run and an involved dinner of something that seems exciting from the grocery store.

QOTD: My mom was a bit unstable, so she was all over the place. My Dad was deployed for more than half of my first 12 years so chaos reigned in our house sometimes. But my dad is very stable, very gentle and very loving. It was hard to disappoint him, so for the most part we were good kids. Once my dad was home full time after he retired, things leveled out. He had solid rules and never wavered on them. But they were very reasonable. We were allowed to debate anything/rule, as long as we did it respectfully. We almost never won, because, like I said, he did not waver much, but once in a while we'd be victorious! I'm lucky enough to still have my dad and he's my happy place these days.

Menu:

B: 1/2 PP shake, coffee -- HB egg, light string cheese

L: egg "muffin", 2 stips bacon

D: left over turkey chili I made and froze forever ago. Hubs wants steak, and that's just not sitting well with me. Homegrown tomatoes, and a bit of cheddar to round out the chili

S: beef jerky or Whisps if needed.

Peace Everyone!
