Good Morning and Happy Fri-yay! JB- Love the shirt and Sheila, you are truly so talented. It's still smoky with bad air quality but the temps are dropping a bit and there is a slight chance of some rain over the weekend which of course would help with the fires.

I remember when I joined OH and she was barely 12, and looked like a little kid. She looks like a teenager now! They grow so fast. Going forward I live vicariously by you, watching Em grow up!

  • Good Friday morning everybody!

I'm still here, at home. Yesterday was a lot of touch and go with the fire. Everybody in the neighborhood packed their cars and we were ready to leave, but I think the wind direction changed. Infact last night for the first time I didn't smell smoke when I took Luna out for a quick do-your-business-and-get-back-inside. Keeping fingers crossed things improve today and this weekend.

My 4 days alone at home and working on my tan (I know, very shallow) plan didn't workout. The sun is behind a lay of grey/brown yuck and it's not advisable to stay outside anyway. The county also has advised the tourists to go home to empty the hotels for evacuees because the shelters are getting filled. In short, no weekend plans unless I need to get out of town. I am rage cleaning and decluttering DS's room, if that is considered a weekend plan.

QOTD: not religion related , but I always thought my mom was the strictest on the block regarding when I could date or use makeup. On the other hand my dad would sign our excuse notes for school when we would go skiing mid week. I vividly remember I went back to school with raccoon eyes (due to goggles and sun burn) and my teacher sarcastically said gee, your fever must have been really high because it gave you a tan! So I guess there was a balance between mom and dad.

Accountability: not eating much, but not exercising either. Still in a yuck mood.

My pics are from the lightening that happened last Sunday and caused all these fires. We all ooooohed and aaaaahed because it doesn't happen here that often, but by Mon morning we heard the news about the fire. Also, these pics are not mine, I wasn't that crazy to run down the beach during thunders, but our neighborhood group has some avid photographers who practically ran down at 3:00 am to take these pics.

This pic is for Cynthia who asked to see my new purchase. The bag is a small leather cross body, but I like to make it more summery with these colorful shoulder straps.

Have a great weekend, everybody.
