I always believed that the first six months didn't count because I would be infatuated and not see faults. But I do think that there is "love at first sight" and it can last. I knew the first day that I met Gary that I was safe with him.

The intelligence, kindness, and consideration for others came through immediately. As we got to know each other, we discovered more and more that we had in common. For a long time he wanted me to move in with him and I did not feel that I wanted that.

I also did not really want the complications of being married and dealing with mutual finances. For me, marriage was about working together to create a home an family. I did not need to do that again. I like my own place where I can make my own decisions and have time to myself. We still see each other every day and sometimes all day.

I sometimes feel like about Gary like people talk about grandchildren. They are so happy to see them and also happy when they go back home.

I have a friend with the same type of relationship (for about 20 years). It works for both of them.

You know when I met my husband I was extremely enamored from the beginning and told him I loved him within 2 months. And we were together for 40 years.

Sounds like we are alike in some ways. I met my husband when I was 18, was dating him exclusively within a few months and went and got my marriage license on my 21st birthday. We were married a month later and had just celebrated our 40th anniversary a few months before he passed away from cancer.

Good Morning JB and Menuers,

I am off today with absolutely no plans for today and it is supposed to be in the mid 80's and low humidity. I wish DH was in better physical shape today would have been a great day for a long bike ride. I feel so bad he has all this pain. I wish one day it would just stop so we could be more active together.

JB and Shelia you guys are so crafty. It's not that I couldn't be but my passion is more in the kitchen and feeding people. Then it disappears and I can do it all over again. With crafts you end up collecting stuff and you end up with more stuff. Even when it come to gifts do not buy me something I need to dust or clean. I like soaps and candles something I can use and throw away. Unless it is clothing. Speaking of clothing Story time.

I found a shirt that a lady was selling on a local garage sale page and I was interested. It ended up being in a very lucrative neighborhood. So I went to pick it up and the lady was super nice and I told her about my weight loss journey and How I am always looking for cost effective clothing because it's just to expensive to replace a full wardrobe so I buy most 2nd hand. Well she said oh I have a full bag of shirts I was going to give to my house keepers but I don't think they really wear the stuff I give them and since your in an office and have to dress I would rather give them to you. So I scored 16 new shirts and dresses yesterday for $15.00. Then I get a text she told her neighbor about me and they want me to come back next week and grab a couple more bags. I love new clothes especially free.

QOTD: My Mom and Dad were the cool parents. They were well known for there moves on the dance floor and in the 70's it wasn't uncommon to find 4 or 5 couples in our living room learning how to Disco. My Mom will be 82 Sunday and they still call her the Disco queen. They were very good and spend a lot of time in the Discotheque. I was in 7th grade and they would occasionally take us when there was competitions so we could cheer them on.

Accountability: I stuck to the bean plan and I did sneak one quest bar.
