What's on your Wednesday Menu?
Rainy day here so no swinging in a hammock for me. Hammock + tacos = life
I am at car shop - nothing serious- biding my time. House went to Contract last week so shifting gears to job search. Took an all day back-to-work summit online yesterday to get my head in the game. Really good and only $10. Company called - Work it Daily if anyone is interested. Found them on TikTok. Yes I have fallen into the TikTok rabbit hole.
Going for a Dexascan body fat scan later today. They are honoring the Groupon I bought even though it expired a year ago. Nice.
Been trying to stay away from bread - not carbs, I just find it is a too easy A go-to and more processed. That being said it is convenient and so running out door this morning made turkey and low fat cheese sandwich.
Eats:
- turkey sandwich, raw veggies
- stuffed peppers
- protein drink
- TBD - might eat out
- caul oats w/protein

Years back I had a work assignment in Oregon. It was December and dark when I got off the plane around 5:30 PM. I rented a car to drive to the apartment where I would be staying. The trees on both sides of the road got very thick and everything was very dark. I had this really weird feeling on that road and could not wait to get out of there.
Later I read a book by Ann Rule on the Green River Killer, Gary Ridgway. In the book she described a road that he rode up and down looking for his female victims. It was the same stretch of road where I had felt so frightened.

Now that is freaky!

To the best of my memory, it was in 1999 and they finally caught him in 2001. When I read the book about him and the road where he stalked women I was really freaked out. I remember how relieved I was when I finally saw a light up ahead and it was a store. It was before cars came with GPS and I was really trying hard to find the right road in the dark. It would have been so easy to get lost out there and I imagine he just saw a lady who was lost and stopped on the road and just walked over to her car and offered to help her.
