Love your cup,Melody. I'm sorry to hear about your pain today. As an RA patient I know first hand how debilitating chronic pain is. Sometimes I just have to stay busy so I don't focus on it. Accountability was spot on food and stepwise yesterday and weight is 120.4. Miss Lily and I have our first walk in and will do more later. QOTD a newer country song by Thomas Rhett and other artists "In a World Full of Hate Be a Light". Very needed in our current times. Here's the food plan B 1/2c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 3/4 cup cauliflower parmesan soup D 4 oz smoked sausage and 3 bites green beans. Have a wonderful day full of smart choices and stay safe everyone!

Mornin' Everyone!

It's another beautiful day and will be for the next few days, too. YAY! We're meeting our mothers for coffee at 10:00 (seems to be the regular thing this summer). I've been thinking of renting a kayak this afternoon and going out on one of the lakes, but I think DH was planning to do some exterior painting, given the cooler weather - so I'm not sure what we'll end up doing. If I don't go kayaking, I'll probably go for yet another bike ride - which is fine. It doesn't seem like exercise to me, and I end up burning a ton of calories!

accountability - I was a couple hundred calories over my current goal yesterday, but still within my range (at the high end of it, unfortunately), but we biked for over 1.5 hours, so I probably ended up burning off most of that. Still, I'm going to try to do better today. It'll be easier once I'm done with this stupid b-day cake (I'm just eating a little at a time, so we're at day 9. I'm guessing we're getting close to the time I'll be forced to toss the thing since I don't think I can freeze a tres leches cake. It does kind of floor me that it'll take probably 12 days to eat half a cake, though (we had half of it left over from my b-day). Before WLS, half a cake would have probably only lasted me three days tops!)

QOTD: nothing is really coming to mind. Sometimes after someone I'm close to dies, I get that song "Everything I Own" (by Bread) stuck in my head for awhile - but other than that, I can't really think of anything.

TSS: 5y2m

B: cottage cheese with a grilled peach, coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake (I just take them to the coffee shop - since we're sitting outside, no one who works there notices. And the rest of my party orders coffee and sometimes breakfast, so I doubt the employees care even if they noticed....)

L: if we're home, the other half of my chicken wrap (on a low carb lavash) and a small salad with light dressing. I'll take a protein bar with me in case we go to one of the mom's apts afterward, but I'm tempted to drive separately from DH so I WILL come home, because I really would prefer to eat lunch here and not rely on a protein bar...

AS: L&F yogurt with raspberries. Small slice of cake

D: I'm thinking a Thai-style chicken/broccoli/carrot curry with no rice

have a great day, everyone!

it has that effect on me, too. David Gates wrote it after his father died. So sad.

This made me think of my late uncle Olen. Not just the beautiful song but he traveled with Bread(aka a roadie type thing...helped them set up and such). I miss him a lot...it's been more than 20 years since he passed and it still hurts.
