Do not let them dictate what you know you can do. I started out at 299 and today I am at 133. Granted the last year it has been hard and only loosing a pound every couple of months. However I am still determined to get to 125. You can do anything you set your mind to. Plan prepare succeed. We are all here to cheer you on.

they told me when I got to 180 that I was perfectly fine and that my goal of 150 was unrealistic. I actually made it all the way down to 138 at about 18 months out (have since gained - stabilized at 150 for a couple of years (which was actually perfect for me) and am now mid- to high-150 but am trying to get back down to 150). So yes - statistically it might be unrealistic (I've read only about 10-15% of us make it to a normal BMI), but still, a lot of us have done it, so...

The doctor I see at my surgery center (11 year relationship) told me in February that I was at my goal weight. I was at 152. I flat out told her I wasn't comfortable at that weight, and I still wanted to lose more. She said she was okay with me losing 5lbs or so, but that at 45 I needed to get to a weight I could maintain. Fast forward 6 months, and I'm down 18 1/2 lbs. I just saw her Wednesday. My labs are perfect, I eat vegan, and I intermittent fast. Because my labs are so good, she told me whatever I was doing, keep doing it. If you want to get to a lower weight, you absolutely can and should. When I hit 135, that was my ultimate personal goal (hello, look at my username) and so now, I will try to maintain here.

I think it's important to note that I do not count calories. I think I would starve if I went with the suggested amount of calories to maintain my current weight!

Good morning, happy friday!

QOTD - Our house is a 100 year old former old hunting lodge, so... Our bedroom walls are stone on three sides, and the interior wall is a deep dark wood ship lap. No chance of painting or changing, as we don't want to do anything that messes with the integrity of the house, or removes from it's natural state. I can't think of a color I would want to change it to anyhow!

Breakfast - fasting, so hot black coffee, cold topo chico

Lunch - probably same tofu/soyrizo scramble

Snack - fruit smoothie (frozen frui****er, hemp seed protein)

Dinner - I'm going to be out with my family, while husband home with kids. He's taking advantage of me being gone to have fried chicken, LOL. I will probably have some sides when I come back, along with a salad and an apple with peanut butter.

Have a great day y'all!

Thank you! It is, as soon as we saw it we knew it was the house for us. I grew up in the country, and I didn't want to live in a house that was right next door (8 ft from) neighbors, and I didn't want a cookie cutter house. So my mother in law found this property (two houses!), and it was on 3/4 of an acre. I just knew. It's old, it comes with it's challenges. No central air or heat. We make do with window units (in the rooms we are in), and we use space heaters. It's got so much history, part of a much bigger plat of land that was originally owned by the Bexar family. (We live in Bexar county). I still get mail for Rebecca Bexar, who died here. I recently was able to find old pictures when this house was listed before our purchase, and in every room, there were dog beds and food/water bowl setups. So I think she loved her animals, and that makes me very happy to know. My mother in law lives in the smaller (2/1) home on the property. We have four dogs, she has five dogs, so altogether, we have NINE dogs here at the Marzec Doggy Ranch! It's overwhelming and amazing at the same time. For me, it's the land tho. We are also smack dab in the middle of the city! So I can get to HEB in 5 minutes, but them come home to my little slice of "country". I'm just curious what my bones are gonna think of the stairs and lack of heating in 20 years, hahaha! Maybe by that time we will have some installed, who knows!

My current plan is to stay in my home and buy a stairlift and a walk-in bathtub when I get a lot older. I love the house and the fence. This is my grandmother's house in Ireland. My sister bought it and had it a bit modernized. She uses it for a vacation home when she is in Ireland. There are mostly stone walls in Ireland on every property. Your stone wall reminds me of Ireland.

I instantly love that house. Everything from the stone fence, to the red door, to the wrought iron pedestrian gate entrance. OMG!!!
