Macronutrients
that varies depending on surgeon, but most of us are required to have at least 60 grams of protein per day (I have to have 100, however, since we discovered early on that I malabsorb it. But I'm kind of an outlier in this. Most people are fine with 60).
amount of carbs required by programs, however, really varies. Some of us are on ultra-low-carb diets the first few months after surgery, eating fewer than 30 - or 40 - or whatever - carbs a day. Other programs are more balanced, allowing up to 80 or so. And some don't have you counting carbs at all.
as far as fats, there are really only a handful of people on here who count fats. That was really common years ago, but not so much anymore. I never paid much attention to fats after surgery.
I made up my own macros. I aim for a minimum of 60g if protein ideal would be 90.
I've always aimed to keep my carbs lower than my protein intake for the day. If I were more consistent about that I'd be better off.
i tried paying attention to sugar grams, and when I did, I realized that I don't take in much as all and it's not worth monitoring.
I don't pay attention to fats or fiber.

I usually have about 70-100g of protein, 25-35 carbs (rare that I get that high) and less than 15g of sugars per day. My calories range depending on of I'm drinking shakes and including milk or not, same with including cheeses. So any given day is between 900 and 1300 calories. I'm sure if I cut my calories and upped protein, to mostly shakes I could lose my 10-15 pounds of regain, bit I'm happy where I am
