Ha that is so funny--my first thought was that he sounds like all of my instacart shoppers lately...Fingers crossed that I get a good one tonight!
Oh my goodness yes! The first time I tried the instacart service it was great! Had a wonderful shopper who actually asked me if it was ok to substitute an item I had on my list that they were out of to a similar item. After that it's been a crapshoot! Just last week they were out of the vanilla L&F Greek yogurt I had on my list and instead of my shopper asking me if it was ok...took it upon herself to substitute it for the regular vanilla yogurt. Grrr! I'd much rather it be substituted for a different flavor in the Greek yogurt or either refund my money since the regular yogurt has more calories and less protein. I guess she figured she was doing me a favor since the regular vanilla yogurt was cheaper. Sigh....so I just ended up giving that one to my mom and went to the store myself to buy the correct yogurt. I'm debating on just going to the store myself this weekend or giving it another try.

Did you know that you can select the acceptable substitutions for every single item online, after you check out? My hot tip is that you should select "no substitutions" because they will work a lot harder to find your actual item when they know that they won't get paid for just choosing whatever is closest to them. My cart has been a lot more accurate since I started doing that!
I certainly did not know that! I will definitely do that next time! Thanks for that tip!

Good morning!
QOTD - I drive a 5 speed, mint green fiat. I absolutely love this car. It's got a custom made matching mint green giant pentagram on the back windshield, along with some other stickers (I love my dog, *****scued who paw, tree of life). I'm that person. I love it, and I plan on keeping it as long as I can.
Breakfast - Fasting, so hot coffee, hot team, topo chico
Lunch - kale/tofu/soyrizo scramble with vegan chao cheese.
Snack - chickpea salad, crackers, small apple
Dinner - we have the kids again, starting tonight! I think I am going to make beef stroganoff. Actual beef for hubs, MIL and son, and beyond burger in the version for me and daughter.
I hope you all have a great day! I think today is going to be a good day. I even have mascara and lip gloss on...to sit at the dining room table and work!

Mornin' All!
well I just urped up my morning coffee. Guess I was drinking it too fast? Weird - that's never happened before. Hopefully my stomach is done rebelling...I guess I'd better feed it kind of bland things for a few hours.
so our refrigerator saga - turned out it had a worn-out defrost timer, so there was some frost build-up in the freezer that was blocking the cold air. There's so much crap crammed in there that I didn't notice the frost . The appliance guy replaced the timer and melted the frost with that high-powered blow-dryer looking thing they use. So we're back in business. But the fridge is 18 years old, which he said is beyond its lifespan. He recommended starting to research new ones since it's hard to say how much longer this thing will last. I think we'll plan to replace it sometime within the next year whether we need to or not. I don't really want to deal with the mess if the thing dies and it's a couple of days before a replacement arrives (been there...)
so my weight is down....again. So weird after fighting with it the last few months. Liz - you may be right. Maybe having a few days of being above my normal calorie range shook things up. I was messaging my weight loss partner last night (another bariatric patient - we often present together in my clinic's pre-op classes). She did say when she's "stuck", she changes up her macros and/or goes up or down on her calories by 100 or so - and that'll sometimes get the ball rolling again. Hmmm. Well, I'm not going to complain...
QOTD: I have a silver Honda Civic (2015). When we bought it (it's used), DH wanted me to test drive a red one - and then a blue one - because my last Honda Civic was silver, and he wanted a different color this time. But this Civic was nicer, newer, and had lower miles than the red one and the blue one. But he was really stuck on color, oddly. But it's my car and I eventually won out!

B: I think maybe just some Greek yogurt - and maybe a peach. Coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: a piece of cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie with blueberry compote
AS: hmmmm....well, usually I have L&F yogurt (with raspberries), but that's a lotta yogurt today. I'll think of something...
D: TJ's Masala vegan burger in a skinny bun with 1 T plain Greek yogurt with some curry powder mixed in. Side of cole slaw made with Asian-style peanut dressing
ex: biking again. I forgot to get something from the store last night, so I thought I'd bike over this morning to pick it up - and get some exercise to boot!
have a great day, everyone!
Good morning! I guess it is no surprise you are so busy with the school start coming and figuring all out during this ever-changing pandemic.
Yesterday I spent 10 fantastic hours with Mike. His beach is amazingly beautiful - we sat and talked, then walked on it during the day. We went out to eat (after I met the adult children), then went back and watched the sun go down. He is coming with me to my beach today, but I probably won't see him again until Monday.
QOTD: My car is navy with a black roof and off-white seats (convertible). I love it other than the fact that dirt shows on it quickly. The two previous cars were white which did much better on not showing dirt.
