Dunno if it comes in orange but I ADORE my Kia Niro hybrid SUV. I get 55mpg and it drives like a dream.
Mornin' Everyone!
feeling really bloated this morning. I must have overdone it on salt or fiber yesterday - plus calories were a bit over. I'll try to rein all that in today. I have my online Mah Jongg game at 10:00, and then a bike ride with a friend at 1:00. We noticed yesterday that our freezer isn't getting as cold as it should be (it's 17 years old, though - so it may be time to just get a new one), so I just emailed our appliance repair person to ask for his thoughts - so if he thinks it's an easy fix like cleaning the coils, he'll probably be out sometime this afternoon or tomorrow. So....that's my day.
QOTD: I guess a 5. I'm retired, so my "work life" hasn't changed. But I was pretty involved with stuff which got me out of the house pretty much every day (meetings, lectures, classes - and at minimum, the gym or yoga studio), and that's all changed. I still have (some) meetings, but they're all on Zoom now. I also used to meet friends a lot for lunch or coffee. I'm back to doing that again, but not nearly as often, and it's only at outdoor places now (and that will all change once the weather is cooler). My exercise routine has changed as well. I cycle instead of doing Zumba and water aerobics, and I'm just now trying to get back into yoga after a very long hiatus, because I need the stretching/balance/flexibility stuff. Oh - and no more weekend trips to Chicago. We used to go maybe 5-6 times a year. No more. in fact, the first time I was out of my county was last weekend, when we went to a town about 20 miles away. So yea - things have changed.

small piece of bday cake somewhere in there (still not done with the thing!)
have a great day, everyone!
Good morning! Day three home from mini vacation, and my weight stayed the same, so I'm feeling like I handled that like a champ. I used to have a 1-2 day delay before all the weight I gained showed up, so on day three, I'm thinking it's not coming. Work ended up being slow yesterday, so I cleaned up problems. Always good to get that done. I deal a lot with the government, and from now until Sept 30, my customers are either out of money, or buying frantically to spend their budget so they don't lose it next year. I know 3 of my big accounts are out, so I'm expecting a light load for a while. Plus, I'm doing such a good job training my replacement that I don't have nearly as many challenges on my desk. Yay Me!. Ha.
QOTD: I'm going with a 2ish. I definitely cook more. We used to eat out 3-4 times a week including lunch for sure on the weekends. Now, I am cooking 90+ percent of our meals. But I love cooking most of the time and it's saving money, so I feel like we are winning there. I've never stopped working, and no changes to my location. We wear masks at work only if a stranger is in the building because our stations are so far apart. We now have moved back to a very select, very small group of friends we see on occasion. They are all people we know are practicing social distancing and being smart, so we'll meet on someone's patio for catching up. Since my son in law and daughter work with me, they and their kids are in my "bubble", so I still get to see them. I just don't go shopping for no reason, or wander around and I wear the mask when I am out. That's really the main impact to me.
Menu:
B: coffee and 1/2 PP shake to start. 1/2 crispbread with pb spread thinly on it. (I've got one of those JIF To Go containers, which is one serving each, and I am seeing how many servings I actually get out of it. Today will be day three, and I won't finish today for sure)
L: roasted chicken, edamame rice, reduced balsamic syrup drizzled on top
D: TBD meeting an old friend and catching up.
S: beef jerky if needed.
Peace Everybody!

Hello there! I seriously thought it was Tuesday... i goess thats a good thing?! Been busy to say the least, trying to incorporate preschool activities around the house has definitely been a chore, but we're making it work.
You come up with the best questions!!!
QOTD: about a 6. We are used to family support and since the pandemic, we have really had no interaction with our family and it's hard. My kids miss school and their teachers and friends (my 4 year old, at least... and my 3 year old was supposed to start) but, shoot, if I can't keep my 3 year old from putting everything in her mouth, what is going to stop her from doing that in a room FULL of other 3 year olds.
Thankfully, they are young and *hopefully won't remember much of this
Breakfast: Oikos vanilla with a frooty hoops flex flavor from Devotion Nutrition
Lunch: 4 dino nuggets and ham/cheese roll ups
