What's on your Monday Menu?
Mornin' All!
well the Friday b-day was a calorie blow-out, but Sat and Sun weren't the greatest, either, because of leftover cake (and I STILL have some left), but oddly, my weight was lower this morning than it's been in months. Maybe eating cake every day is key to weight loss... ;-)
I have a bone scan later this morning at my health clinic. My endocrinologist is considering switching me from the bone maintenance drug that I've been on the past couple of years to a bone-building drug; thus, the scan. Hopefully all is OK... I also have a committee meeting on Zoom this afternoon, but that's it. I'm thinking about making celeriac soup, too. It's supposed to rain off and on all day, so it's a good day to have this kind of stuff going on!
QOTD: I'm a food hoarder in general, but the things I have ridiculous amounts of are: various nut butters (which I don't even eat all that often, so????), raspberries (tons of them in my freezer), tea (which I don't drink all that often), protein powders, and protein bars. oh - and I usually have a case of flavored water in my kitchen, and there are probably three more cases in my trunk (but that's due to big sales!)
TSS: 5y2m
B: cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie with blueberry compote, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake (may save this until this afternoon)
L: 2 Costco chicken skewers and maybe a small salad with light dressing
AS: L&F yogurt with raspberries, maybe a thin rice cake with 1 T chocolate hummus
D: salmon and elote-style corn on the cob
ES: I'm sure I'll end up having a piece of cake, even though I shouldn't and it's not in my plan, but I know myself too well.
have a great day, everyone!
G'morning Everybody!
JB - happy you had a fun three day celebration for your bday. I think Liz said it for somebody else's bday, calories consumed on bday don't count so don't fret it.
We had an easy relaxing weekend. Not much going on except for dorm shopping. The departure day is getting closer; I'm excited but also worried about this darn COVID thing. I just hope they stay safe.
Jim - I have a question. How many pairs of shoes does your DS have and plans to bring to college? Mine has ONE pair of vans and that's all he wants to bring. He has always been a one pair shoe kind of kid. I've been telling him to buy another pair just in case the old pair falls apart (he wears them till they are literally falling apart) but he says he's all good - his code to butt out.
QOTD: SF syrup. We can be low on anything but my syrup cabinet has to be stocked in order for me to sleep at night. Infact I had so many that haven't bought any since the SIP back in March. Kinda running low now (only 6-7 bottles left) but I am challenging myself to not buy anything until I have only two bottles/flavors left.
Accountability was not so good during the weekend. Thai vegetarian spicy fried rice was the main culprit. Somehow I can't keep it together during the weekends. If I did that I'm sure these last 3-4 lbs would come off.
Back on plan today!
Happy start of the week, everybody.

One pair of work boots and one pair of sneakers. The school also told the freshman to bring a suit (with dress shoes) to attend career day, even though they probably won't be able to interview for internships for another year. But I think that it went virtual, so I don't know if he will need it.
Does he have showers shoes?

I guess for him being in SD there is no need for any other shoes. This is a kid who would prefer go barefoot where he can, and vans are for skating.
Yes to shower slides, thank god for that.

Quick post as it is a busy day of multiple household chores, lunch out with a high school friend and dinner out with Mike. Yes, date #3 in less than a week. LOTS of phone calls in between.
QOTD: Oh boy, hoarding is an interesting question. I felt like I sometimes hoarded TP, paper towels and facial tissue but really I just ordered in bulk as we did have some panic moments. I tend to hoard foods that I like and will keep well like frozen foods from TJs and healthy choice meals. I also somewhat hoard spices and sugar free pudding. I like to make sure I have what I need when I need it!
TSS: 4 years, 4 months
B: Coffee! eggs and laughing cow cheese
L: crab cakes
D: possibly lobster salad, probably a glass or two of wine
S: WW one point muffin
