Mornin' All! And happy birthday JB if you're reading this!!

Really blew it yesterday with birthday pizza and cake. I actually only had one piece of pizza and a small piece of cake, but that combined with everything else I ate put me at slightly over 2000 calories. Oh well - back to it today! At least I'm feeling waterlogged and overstuffed this morning - so that might help me keep on track today!

no plans at all for the weekend. Hopefully DH will be up for a bike ride or walk today since it's going to be HOT and humid tomorrow. Although I can certainly go by myself, too

QOTD: it's been 7 for years, but lately I've developed an affinity for 5, too. I have no idea why!

TSS: 5y2m

B: probably a piece of cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie with 2 T light Cool Whip and blueberry compote. Coffee with half & half

MS: protein shake

L: if we're home, then 1-2 Costco chicken skewers and a small salad with light dressing

AS: L&F yogurt and/or a skinny bagel with light cream cheese

D: definitely an ear of corn (elote-style) since I had five ears in my fridge and a friend dropped off 12 more yesterday (!). Maybe with half a chicken wrap or more Costco chicken skewers.

have a great day, everyone!!

For years I worked with the Knights of Columbus to type up their program for their Night at the Races fundraisers.

There would be films of horse races and the horses would be assigned different numbers. People would bet on their horse's number and then the film would run and they would cheer for "their horse". The number that everyone wanted was 777. That number always bought in the most money.

Are you serious that you had an ear of corn in the fridge for five years?

Thanks for starting us Melody and HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JB!!!!

We had a fun morning changing a battery in the 16 foot high fire alarm in my sunroom. Thank goodness for great neighbors as I couldn't stand the chirp! DD and I both woke up at 4 and couldn't figure out why - I bet we heard the start of the chirping.

Big date today - we live almost an hour apart so Mike is coming for the afternoon and out to dinner. We are either going to kayak or I will show him around my town which he has never been to (depends on possible thunderstorms).

QOTD: I am not sure I have a favorite number, but younger DD has always loved 13 because she was born on Friday the 13th. Almost all her softball shirts are #13.

TSS: 4 years, 4 months

B: Coffee! eggs and laughing cow cheese

L: tuna and cottage cheese

D: No idea - probably fish as we are going out to dinner.

Morning everyone! Happy birthday to JB...and for your birthday I'm buying me a new car battery! Currently at the grocery store waiting on AAA, yay.

im making a pistachio-ginger-berry yogurt tart to bring to some friends for a socially distant bbq tonight and I was supposed to have a virtual bookclub this morning but don't think I will be home in time.

Otherwise pretty low key for me!
menu will be ever roast chicken and slice cheddarx2, only one cup coffee with half and half, plus I'll have the left over greek yogurt and pistachios thrown into the freezer as a snack, plus whatever my friends make for bbq, probably a kabob of some kind.

have a great day everyone!

Happy Birthday JB!! Sitting here poolside in KC,MO. Our food budget has been so low on this trip due to one meal to share, we are treating ourselves to a starry gondola ride down the river. Yesterday's wedding was unique, but sweet and the food (KC bbq from some local famous chef) was amazing. I definitely had a few bites too many. I even fed that out by only having a poached egg this morning.) Dinner is at yet another place, and we decided that we would have a glass of wine and debate which single appetizer and single meal we would order and share. Exceeded all my exercise goals yesterday and will again today. Have 14 flights of stairs in already. Why are stairs still so hard? Man, they kill me.

Have a wonderful weekend everybody! Peace!!
