What's on your Friday menu?
Good morning all! I've been away for about a week (tried to step away from all social media) and it was quite nice. But i think i popped in here on Monday for a moment, but i'm not holding that against myself.
Trying to play catch up now and see what I missed...lol
QOTD: I really don't know what decade I am dreading. Bit, I do agree with you that it's weird to be the age of our parents etc
Breakfast: made small pancakes for my kids so I enjoyed a few bite size silver dollar pancakes
Lunch: I think I'm gonna try the Southwest lime chicken salad that was posted today. Looks so refreshing!
Dinner: broccoli cheesy chicken bake
Snack: string cheese, veggie chips and probably a protein shake
I hope everyone has a wonderful day & weekend!

Qotd - I truly have never dreaded a decade. I lost a childhood friend to AIDS in the late 80s and have always tried to live with the adage that getting old is a privilege denied to many. Not to say that I love being able to hurt myself sleeping which started at 40, lol. Also, every decade has gotten better, I am looking forward to my f-it 50s:-)

I lost some friends to AIDS back in those days, too. I'm so glad that people with AIDS can now expect to live a normal life span, but I'm so sorry we lost so many before treatments were available.
I'm always so shocked when I google some long lost friend or classmate and discover that they've passed on -- I'm shocked that there have been so many. But then, things like cancers and heart attacks do start happening in the 40s and 50s. I'm starting to feel lucky that I'm still alive!
