What's on your Friday menu?
HAPPY BIIIIIIRRRTHDAAAAAY! Thanks for starting off so I could "sleep in" on my day off... I was still wide awake at 4am, but it's nice to know I didn't have to be, haha.
The town that we want to go for our lobster was all over the news this morning for having the state's newest big uptick in COVID cases, so my parents have decided not to come. Grim and I still plan to go. I think we can stay safe and distanced, but if it feels crowded, we will just leave.
QOTD: I was miserable when I turned 30. I had so many preconceived notions about what my life was supposed to be by 30 and I was filled with angst. My weight was also sky-rocketing and I was worried about my heath / future, but really couldn't articulate it at the time. Looking back I am so sad for how "messy" I was back then. I can't believe it was only 16 years ago--I'm such a different person now for so many reasons.
Also, yes--we are so different than our grandparents. My grandma was always old--she was only 53 when I was born but she was never youthful in any way. Grim and I often watch old tv shows and we often notice that the "old lady" on whatever we are watching is actually my age, now. Did you know Alice on the Brady Bunch was only 40 in her first year on the show? Female age stereotypes have evolved so much.
Did well yesterday with staying on my plan. I wasn't able to work on the treadmill yesterday because I needed to be on camera all day, so all of my steps were from a workout afterwards, and I just made it past 8K. Points were 23 with an added snack.
This is me in my last days of 45!
