Mornin' All!

well, I'm 60 now. This isn't bothering me like turning 50 did, but boy - it's hard to believe I'm my grandparents' age (i.e., back when I was a little kid, of course!). But I look and act so much younger than they did (weird how people seemed so old several decades ago....their dress, their appearance, the way they acted. My grandparents never would have been out biking a couple hours a day - or wearing tight capris or jeans (in fact, I don't think my maternal grandmother ever wore pants at all until the mid- to late-70s - and even then, that was a rare sight for her. And I'm pretty sure my paternal grandmother NEVER wore pants...). They always dressed up even to go to the bank or grocery store - and they just looked and acted - old).

so anyway, today. I'm going biking with a friend in about an hour. We're going to bike over to Panera Bread for coffee and possibly something to eat. I'd rather go to a coffee shop (better coffee - and atmosphere), but she suggested Panera. That's fine. There are more food options (for her), and the outdoor seating is better. We're having dinner with the family at our favorite pizza place, where I celebrated my 59th birthday. Also good outdoor seating. Other than that, I have no clue -- but I want to do some fun things today since this is a big one!

QOTD: just thought of one (and appropriate for today!). Which birthday decade did you (or will you) dread the most? Mine was definitely 50! I felt really old, for some reason...I'm feeling much better about 60! (my MIL's was 30 - which cracks me up!)

accountability - I went over on calories yesterday (by 200 - ugh), so I took a bike ride last night that I hadn't planned on doing, just to work some of it off. I'm a little worried about today, though...

TSS: 5 y 2 m

B: I may have some Greek yogurt before my ride, just to have something in my stomach. Also, coffee with half & half

MS: more coffee. I'm not sure if I'll get any food items at Panera or not. If so, probably a bagel or a yogurt parfait

L: ?? Maybe a couple of Costco chicken skewers

AS: I'd better have something so I don't blow it at dinner. Maybe a piece of yogurt pie.

D: pizza and cake

have a great day, everyone!

forgot to add a picture. I'll have to post one later of me at 60....but I got nuttin' now. So here's one of my cats, Kardelen. Her birthday is one week from today, so we're kind of birthday twins. She will be 6

Happiest of Birthdays to you! I hope you find some joy today and just have a simply beautiful day!

It?s Friday. I have a lot to get done this weekend. I have a Covid test on Monday and I have to isolate until Friday when I have my EGD. Soooo I?ll be plenty bored for the most part of a week. Not looking forward to either but I?ll be glad to get it done. The acid has been better since I quit dairy but I still can?t eat a lot of things. Not feeling great this morning. My back hurts and my legs hurt, not nearly as much as before but they just feel heavy and achy. I?m also very very tired.

My food yesterday was pretty decent. I had a few unplanned crackers but it wasn?t to bad.

b:oatmeal with 1/2 a banana

l:maybe a frozen dinner?

d:???

s:???

the pics are of Opal and a kit I made from a friend of mine who anodized the titanium ball bearing. I love it so! EDITED TO AD MY PIC TODAY....I fell kind of pretty today...lol

I'm so sorry to hear abou***** bitty. We've been through that so many times, and it's always awful...it never gets any easier. I am so sorry.

So sorry to read abou***** Bitty. It always stinks when that time comes and never gets easier to make that decision. I'm going to be a basket case when Lily's time comes. They are such loving and loyal companions and when they're gone it leaves a hole in our heart. Hugs,my friend.
