Good Morning and Happy Friday-Eve! JB- I hope you have an amazing birthday! I love your walking desk and sounds like it's working out well.

Accountability: Balanced

QOTD: In CA, if your county is on the watch list then it's distance learning. The county had to be off the watch list for 2 weeks before anything can happen on campus. We already selected to have Em do distance learning for the first quarter/semester anyways since I didn't want all the confusion if things had to get shut down due to someone testing positive. It's hard on all the kids and educators and parents too!

I am kind of wondering if the schools here that said "distance learning until Ocotober" are doing that with the thought that everyone will be back to distance learning by October anyway?

Good morning JB and Menuers,

Happy Birthday JB. Glad your getting to spend some time with the family. I am sure relaxing is hard to do with everything going on at work but please try to. You deserve it.

OK I still do not have any diagnosis with my car. So I am normally not a patient person but in this case I want everything to work out well so I am not pushing it. They are paying for the rental so I really have no need to complain.

I went to bed around 9 last night and we still have not got word on if the babies were born. I am hoping to hear something soon. They gave her an epidural around 4 and we heard that around 8 they were coming so hopefully all is well.

I plan to cook some meals and take them over so my friends do not have to worry about cooking meals while attending to the twins. I am defiantly doing Lasagna and a couple meatloaf. I was thinking maybe some cabbage rolls. Does anybody have any suggestions of a meal that I can freeze and take that will be a yummy reheat?

QOTD: I have no kids so I am not paying attention but I did hear on the news that Pittsburgh City schools will be all online and they are starting to pass out computers to seniors today. However I think they are having trouble getting as many computers as they actually need. Also they need to get the kids who took computers in the spring to bring them back in for updates since they will be using a new system this year. Glad that is something not on my plate. Good luck to all of you who are going through this.

Accountability: I did great yesterday. After I got home I did my run since it was cool and dark yesterday morning. However I was not a fan of the evening run. To many people out and about in our neighborhood so I braved the elements and got my run in this morning.

Good morning!

Happy Birthday JB to all celebrating this week!

QOTD-our plans are all over the place! I have one who will be distance learning, she attends the Cleveland Public school of the Arts and they plan on distance learning for the first nine weeks. She did not do so well with the distance learning that happened March-May and I think it is the best decision for the health and safety of the teachers and students, it is going to be a real challenge for her and her special needs. My son attends a Catholic boys school and they are planning on in person learning with remote learning as an option for families who choose that. I think they did an excellent job converting to distance learning in the spring and holding my kid (and others) in there, keeping them engaged. I also feel like they really did the work to put a solid plan in place for return to the classroom (this is what schools that have MONEY can do!) In Ohio right now, the biggest concern seems to be will they get to play fall sports, people are protesting about this. I get that it is an important part of some childrens lives, but I also think that Education is greater than sports and the priorities seem to be a little mixed up. My son is a junior and an athlete. Maybe if it was his senior year and he had scholarships or something riding on it I would feel differently, but right now I think the health of our students, teachers and coaches should be the focus. The MLB with unlimited resources can't keep the season together, how can the public school system???? Rant over!

Food for today

B-scrambled eggs with black beans

L-Asparagus salad -Teenie asked about this yesterday. Blanched asparagus over mixed greens with kalamata olives, cherry tomatoes, hb egg and parm cheese, a squeeze of lemon juice and my all-time favorite dressing tomato olive vinagrette (sun-dried tomatoes, olives, garlic, salt and pepper in the food processor add in olive oil and red wine vinegar) sometimes I add in shredded rotis chicken. Its delicious.

D-hamburger patty and roasted cauliflower

have a good day everyone!
