What's on your Thursday Menu?
What Chrissy said...tell Mike aka HZ, we are all rooting for him and he'd better be on his best behavior.

Leaving the date aspect aside, was that ride on the rail track in Rhode Island fun?

The rail explorer ride was great, but it was the last date with that guy.

Thats why I included the qualifier.

Oops got it - though that date was okay. It was just that I realized that we were polar opposites in almost every way after that date (had been starting to realize it prior but our conversation over dinner clinched it).

I'm going to have to check out that ride when we are in Massachusetts, it looked fun.

Hooooow are they able to do 100% in person? I can't even fathom how any school has enough space in classrooms or on the busses to make it happen. Maybe they are counting on a high number opting in to stay home? Also curious about what the at home kids are doing--do they have their own curriculum plan or are they live-streaming the in-person classes. It's all so fascinating.
I don't know! This is the full slide deck: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/13yVOMu4PHpSzxjsPOPge RTK0nhBx6MQWgoI7jz3dNlk/present?slide=id.g8c45af246b_0_22

Mornin' All!
I'm meeting a friend for coffee at 9:30. Trying to decide whether to bike or drive over there. I SHOULD bike, but my leg muscles are achy and I've got a long-ish ride planned for tomorrow morning, so maybe I should do something else today. It's SO BEAUTIFUL out!!
I ordered my b-day cake yesterday. It's this tres leches cake from one of the Mexican bakeries. It has mango filling between the layers and fresh peach slices and strawberries on top. They had one in the display case with the peaches and strawberries on top and it was just beautiful! Anyway, a friend had a couple of these cakes (same bakery) at her 70th birthday party right before the pandemic hit, and they were wonderful. Ordinarily I would never get such a pricey cake, but this is a big birthday. Plus my MIL gave me b-day money and told me to use it for the cake, since she knew I was going back and forth about it because of the cost. So...it's been ordered!!
QOTD: if our governor had his druthers, he'd have all the schools at least start off virtually, but we have a state legislature and supreme court that are into "individual rights" and wants everything open (even after Illinois banned us!!). So the governor left it up to the municipalities. Hopefully the legislature will be OK with that and won't sue to open them all up, because some communities are really struggling with this virus. Our school district will be virtual - at least for now. Thankfully.
accountability has been good - weight is the lowest it's been in months. Hopefully tomorrow won't screw it up...but as long as I don't make a pig of myself and am on track the rest of the week, it shouldn't de-rail me...
