Mornin' All!

I had a blow-out day yesterday (1924 calories - YIKES!), so today and this weekend I will be ON PLAN. All I can do is forgive myself and move on... Nothing on the agenda today, although it's a beautiful day and will be a beautiful weekend, so I need to spend a lot of time outside. My quads are all achy from bike riding lately - but I may go again, or just walk. Tomorrow DH has planned for us to do take out lunch from an Ethiopian place (with his mom, too) and then a visit to a local garden. Supposedly everything is in bloom there now and it's just beautiful - so we'll go - esp since the weather will be cooperative.

QOTD: E. I am terrible with names - and the last few years I even forget faces sometimes. Not sure if it's aging memory or if it's just that so many of my jobs have been in public service, so I was in contact with different people pretty much ALL THE TIME. Those faces blur over in my brain after awhile. Unless I had very frequent contact with someone - or knew them fairly well - I don't always remember. It's embarrassing when I run across someone who knows who I am and calls me by name, but for the life of me, I can't remember who they are or where i even might have known them from.

TSS: 5 y 1 m

B: cottage cheese mixed with cinnamon and Splenda on top of a grilled peach. Coffee with half & half.

MS: protein shake

L: I think a salad with light dressing and chicken

D: Thai-style curry (chicken, broccoli, and carrots) with no rice

have a great day, everyone!

edited to add this photo. This is from a bike ride earlier this week. I was only like five minutes away from my house but needed a break. This place was so peaceful...

Good Morning JB and Menuers,

JB, hope moms test comes out negative. I have not felt that I had put myself at risk at this point to get a Covid test and I definitely have no symptoms so I was wondering what prompted your mom to get tested? Just curious that I am not ignoring something I should be alarmed about.

This weekend I shall be baking and cooking as usual. I'll be going to a graduation party tomorrow and celebrate my SIL birthday on Sunday. I will be making Stromboli Casserole for the graduation party since the Grad absolutely loves it and my SIL asked me to make pretzel Jell-O. I also want to make an Authentic NY style cheese cake for her dinner. I looked up a recipe for Eileen's since the internet said it is the best NY cheese cake out there. If anyone thinks there is a better one let me know I can always do a different one. I just want to make the BEST authentic NY style cheesecake.

QOTD: E & H

Accountability: I had the WW 0 Point cheesecake and I find it very tasty. I did put some berries on top. The only thing I did different was I used egg whites instead of whole eggs. I also snuck in a Quest protein bar.

Why egg whites only? I'm asking bcz I never understood the difference! Less cals? Or less cholesterol?

Whoo love that white dress!

Mom got tested because she went to a graduation party last weekend that was outdoors and was supposed to be very safe/distant. But it was really hot outside, so people were all crammed into a small tent, shoulder to shoulderr. And a bunch of people came up and hugged her without her realizing it was coming (she was so pissed). My mom is over 70 and in good health but a lot of her friends in condo complex are older and more frail so she wanted to be 1000% sure she was safe to see the people in her "bubble" without putting anyone at risk. Her doctor agreed, so she was tested. Still waiting to hear...

Good morning!

I think I drank more calories than ate with my little charcuterie board last night! I tried a few things, but just was happy with a little turkey, a little irish cheddar and a few whisps chips. And then about 8 ounces of Chardonnay, over about 3 hours. I did the calorie logging. It's a close call as far as total calories -- with the irish cheddar pushing the food over for the win. But just barely. We are set up at our weekend location and took a walk through the park last night and out on the bay. Beautiful weather. My plans this weekend are to read and relax. And walk. I just love walking by the water.

QOTD: H, J, L. Lists. All the lists. I've got like 3 in purse right this moment. It's not that I need the list so much, it's that I feel SO accomplished when I get to add the check mark that it's completed. Mind games. Keeps me occupied and out of trouble. And L -- my mom used to swear I was a starving child in a previous life. I'm not truly content unless I have a fridge loaded with options and back ups everywhere.

Sorry if I've got too many pics today! I wanted to show my "mermaid" grandbabies from last week, and then a couple I took last night on our walk.

gosh I hope these resize better on the upload or I'll be hogging an entire page on here! Sorry!!

Menu:

B: coffee and 1/2 PP shake

L: left over chicken fajitas and beans

D: (consulting my menu list...) Cheeseburger, hold the bun with grilled onions and homegrown Anaheim chilies.

S: do I post wine here? 1 oz avo and 1/2 crispbread, 1/2 oz beef jerky

Have a wonderful weekend! Peace Everybody!

Cute grandkids. I'm not trying to "plug in" but let me know if the girls are interested in mermaid blankets. I make them.
I love your pic with the dogs. You look too young to have grandkids.
