What's on your Thursday Menu?
Good morning, everybody!
DD is coming home on Sunday. Her lease in Waco is up tomorrow, and she is going to visit a friend for the weekend, but she will be home From Sunday until after Labor day. My older son doesn't leave for Colorado until the 16th of August, so it will be nice to have all of the children home for a couple of weeks. I found out that my youngest is starting school a week later than expected.
I am flying out to Colorado to move my son into college. Marilyn and maybe others will drive out to bring his computer and some other things to school. Then I will drive back with them. I am planing to do some fishing with my son in between his orientation, move-in, etc.
QOTD: I can do 50, but not close to unbroken. Tuesday we did 10 inchworms with a push-up each to warm up and then 5 sets of 15 as part of the workout. Even the last four sets of 15 I had to break up.
Breakfast: Protein Bar
Lunch: Shrimp
Snack: nuts
Dinner:hamburger
Have a great day, all!

So fun to have all the kids under the same roof.
Are the orientations in person or virtual?

They are virtual, but at school. So, I guess, from their dorm rooms. They have a tradition where every freshman brings a rock from their home town and hikes up the local hill to deposit it. They are trying to get permitted to do that, but we will see.

What a neat tradition. I hope he gets to do it, too.

Will do. I'm not sure whether he will say "OK, Bye Dad" or want to hang out, but we will definitely have some time.

Good Morning and happy Friday-eve! So I had to really think what day it was when you mentioned last day of July, my days are totally thrown off right now but the summer is going by fast. Sorry you may decide to pass on the wine, cheese and visit but I also understand the cautiousness. Great job on your streak continuing- you're killing it.
Accountability: Pretty standard as of late, I could use a snack intervention regardless of justifying it with extra workout time. I have that time now but won't when I am working (hopefully sooner rather than later) and I don't need a snack habit to have to break.
QOTD: Nope, I need to up my strength game for sure. #imallaboutthatcardio

QOTD- I've never been good a push-ups. I can do modified ones, but haven't for a while. I would be up for a strength challenge.
It's been a hot few days here mid 90's and I've been walking as soon as it is light and exceeded my own personal challenge of 60 miles for the month 68 and counting with 2 more days. I'm planning to walk mid morning today.
Work has been crazy and it seems that everyone wants something from me. I have a 10:30 Zoom call today but nothing else on the schedule. Just a ton of projects to work on and crazy things I have no idea how to deal with. Because one of my coworkers does not answer his phone or emails the developers have been calling me, so I've become his answering service. Not something I appreciate doing as I have a ton more work than he does. I wish my boss would get rid of him, he's not worth the drama and disruption that he causes. If he would just sit at his desk and do his work it would make everyone's life better.
Remember when we talked about cats not wanting us in their space when we're working from home. Sammy is just the opposite he will come into my office and cry until I pick him up and sit him on my lap. Which makes it really difficult to work. He's also pretty much deaf and really loud. I'm hoping he won't interrupt my Zoom call today.
I'm happy to get my nails done today, and tomorrow I have a Zoom counseling session and I get some highlights in my hair. I finally saw my BFF she came out to the barn, and honestly there were more people out there than I have seen in a long time. So I got more socializing than I expected.
The theaters are going to reopen on August 21, still a long ways off for me. I have the Regal Unlimited pass where I can see as many movies as I want and I have really missed going.
Have a great day everyone!

One of my cats has made an appearance on every single zoom call I have been on since March! He is basically an office mascot at this point :)
