What's on your Monday Menu?
Do you think there is any chance your friend is starting some dementia (or has she always been like this)?

she's been like this for several years. I'm sure there might be something psychological to it, but I'm not sure what's going on. She's a hoarder (not as bad as the ones on TV - but she's definitely getting there - stuff piled up on counters, stuff piled on most of the furniture, several days' worth of dirty dishes in the sink, paths going through the piles of stuff so she can get from one room to the other. It's - shocking. I've never seen a messier place IRL - and trust me, I am NOT neat...). She's consistently late to everything, she keeps talking about wanting a new job but whenever she actually applies for one (which is rarely), she gets her stuff in a week or two after the deadline. Oh - and I remember when she finished her coursework for her master's degree (c. 10 years ago, I think), she had to make up two incompletes. Had to write a paper or something to finish them. It took her TWO YEARS to get it done - after many threats from her professors. Good Lord. Those could/should have been finished off in a month. Not sure what to make of all this, but I"m sure there's something going on here.

My BFF sounds similar to your friend. She has ADHD to the max. When we met in our early 20s she was fun and creative and had read a million books and traveled all over. Sure she was messy and late and disorganized, but that seemed so small in comparison to her spontaneity. We were insta-besties. But now she is 50 and she is still messy and still late and still stays up all night and sleeps all day and forgets things, but...she just never grew up, and she got depressed after a ****ty marriage, so now she is just a mess. I love her to bits and pieces, but she is a mess. It's so sad.
Good morning JB and Menuers,
I am having a pretty ****ty Monday and I am in a huge battle with Ford right now. I went to get gas yesterday and my newer Ford Edge stopped running. My husband said (He was a Ford mechanic in a past life) the antifreeze was low and I could smell it burning. Ok I had it towed from the Sheetz where I was at to the car dealership. I called at 5:00pm they never towed it till 8:30PM so I locked the car with the key in it and was going to use the Ford pass to unlock the car when the tow truck driver got there and the Ford pass did not work so I had to drive out there and unlock the car. Then when I called my service advisor this morning she said they won't get it in for a week and a half and they will not give me a rental I will have to pay for it while they wait to work on the car. The car has 18,841 miles on it. Anyone work for Ford Corp? I'd love to get a hold of them and give them a piece of my mind right now.
On other news I had Back to back Pool parties this weekend that led to too many bad eating choices.
In better news My friend pregnant with Twins has been doing great the girls are in a good position and if they do not come by August 6th they will educe labor. So Baby's are on there way.

Too yummy. I over ate it.

I worked for General Motors. Compliaints are taken very seriously. Start by calling this number (800) 392-3673.
Also take the time to write a detailed letter to their service department. You will get results. Sometimes it does take a letter to really be heard.

Mmm quiche sounds great but Keto & WW are not friends, so I will definitely not be having that for the next 100 days!
Good morning, everybody!
I slept for 9 1/2 hours last night. That only happens a couple of times a year, but I guess that I needed it. We had a good weekend. Friday night, we payed golf. Just nine holes in a scramble format, but it was fun. Saturday, went to the gym and read a lot. Yesterday, we went for a hike at our arboretum. I will have pictures of that on Friday. Also, my youngest got lots of driving in, so he is headed towards his 50 hours to take his test (although he can't take it until March).
QOTD: I don't cook very much, just re-heat things mostly.
Breakfast: sausage and cottage cheese
Lunch: tenderloin
Snack: nuts
Dinner: TBD
Have a great day, all!
