What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?
Good morning and happy Friday all! Love your pics JB! Those cookies are super cute! Last day of work for me before an extra long weekend. I'm off Monday through Wednesday of next week because the family is going back to the beach camping. We leave Sunday and since the rest of the family are staying through the following Sunday I'm just going to take my laptop with me to work Thursday and Friday up there so I don't have to come home and then drive back up there. Thank goodness working from home has its advantages! The only bad news is I have my follow up appointment with my bariatric team the very next day after we get back from vacation so I have no time to lose any extra vacation pounds. I'm just going to have to be very strict with my eating and not splurge. Accountability was pretty good yesterday as well. I'm so glad I have been resisting my cravings, but it has not been easy!
Anyone have any suggestions on healthy alternatives when I'm having a chocolate attack or a craving for something sweet like those dang donuts?
B: premier shake
B2: coffee w/Splenda x 2
L: hard boiled egg and not sure what else?
D: TBD

I like thr frozen light and fit as an ice cream like treat, also PB in cottage cheese, maybe with a bit of cinnamon or sweetener of your choice. Stir in some cocoa powder? Have fun with the family at the beach!

Thanks for the suggestions! Oh the cottage cheese with pb or cocoa powder is different. Never even thought of that. I'll have to put those items on my grocery list to try!

this is similar to Jen's suggestion, but usually when I have a chocolate attack, I mix about a teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa powder into a thing of L&F vanilla yogurt. And sometimes I'll even top that with a tablespoon or two of light Cool Whip and some raspberries for a "really fancy" treat! (I'll also sometimes grab a SF fudgesicle when having an attack, too - although those arent' particularly healthy (but only 40 calories)
Thanks for the suggestions! I love those sugar free fudgesicles! I am all out of those and need to buy some more to keep in the freezer for when I'm craving ice cream.

Rice cake with laughing cow light cheese spread & sugar free jelly. I used to have these all the time and forgot about them. Going to start putting it back in my snack rotations!
