Good morning JB and Menuers,
I am running late today. I was stuck on a highway due to a wreck in a construction zone so I tried to get out of it and ended up making the drive a lot longer than I thought. UGH. I wish people would pay attention when they drive. Do they not know there is a coffee on the end of my drive!!!!
I got my run done already this morning without a minute to spare as soon as I hit the porch the rain broke loose and it poured. Glad I was able to avoid getting wet because I do not want to ruin my running shoes.
I love the guy with the Krispy Kreme face shield. I would be licking the plastic and I would not be able to see out of it. I also want to wish JB good luck on your 100 day goals.
QOTD: I wear perfume daily. I love the variety and Now I have been sporting the Anecdote Line of perfumes that Mike introduced us too. I love the pretty bottles displayed on my dresser. I have an antique round mirror I got from a friends estate that I display them on and I think it is lovely. I probably have 15 different brands right now. I love Ralph Lauren and Mark Jacobs and Donna Karen. I also have a Jimmy Choo I use in the winter. Yes I have ones I wear in the winter and ones I wear in the summer and I never mix them up. I think it just depends the time of year I buy them that predicts when I wear them.
Accountability: I grazed dinner and overate.

Hello, my RnY clan! Happy Wednesday!
All is well here on the island. We've had a glorious past couple of days (i.e., no rain), albeit a bit hot and humid - for here! Everything is relative!
I had gained a few pounds but between that and post-surgical abdominal swelling (from my surgery 2+ months ago, not from my RnY), my skirts were getting a bit snug. They were all still zippable, but I could see the difference those 7 pounds made. Mind you, I've filled a large walk-in closet with a ridiculous quantity of pretty clothes since I hit goal. Much as I enjoy shopping, even online Covid-era shopping, I simply refuse to go along with needing to replace even one item of clothing due to weight gain! Anyway, I've been careful and have lost 4 pounds, just 3 more to go. So I am happy and continuing to lose!
I really haven't been doing much different, food-wise, but have stopped buying (and therefore eating) cheese as often as I was, and I've been sticking with cashew milk instead of sugar free creamers in my coffee and tea. I also have absolutely terrible self-control when it comes to frozen sweet stuff. Terrible! I really mean it when I say that at least 100 pounds (if not more) of my pre-WLS weight was directly attributable to ice cream. I still have that more-is-better but ALL is best glitch in my head when it comes to such things. So no supposedly "diet friendly" ice cream for me, I know myself! But I also have minimal control when it comes to sugar-free popsicles. Yes, they're only 15 calories each, but the box holds 18 of them - you do the math! Kelly and others enjoy a spoonful of SF Cool Whip with their SF jello, etc. - not me. That tub just out of the freezer is close enough to ice cream to me to be polished off tout de suite! Like, the entire tub. All 500 empty, junky calories worth! I did it once, then threw out the second tub I'd purchased at the same time. I just can't be trusted with ice cream of any kind! Luckily, I can keep it out of my freezer altogether. It doesn't talk to me too loudly (ok, maybe it does whisper) from the supermarket, but if it was living in my house I know it would not survive for long, and I would be gaining. No thank you!
I'm considering visiting the East coast for a few months...long story. But I'm not ready to spend 6 hours in a plane! Plus I would need to take my two kitties. It's a long drive! Anyway I'm not sure yet, but it might happen in the next two or so months.
QOTD: I have several beautiful fragrances and alternate them according to my mood. I use a much lighter hand than I did long ago. I won't wear any at times. I also use beautiful scented soaps, and lotions. These things add to my appreciation of life.
First: coffee. Times 3!
B: chicken (Costco rotisserie).
L: Turkey breast, pico de gallo
D: scallops. Salad greens, tomato, a little avocado
Have a wonderful day, my friends!
Stop off in Chicago, and visit, if you can!

Nice to see you! I am 100% in agreement with you about having one's wardrobe of pretty clothes act as a huge motivator to stay in range.

Over the past few months I've picked up a couple of cute Lilly Pullitzer skirts. I think of you (and Jim's wife and daughter!)i whenever I wear them. The prints are good colorful fun, and they are well made. Many of them are SO short though! I'm just over 5'8" and I wish there were more longer ones. I like to wear my hemlines over the knee, but not 4/5 of the way to my Origin of the World, if you know what I mean! Still I love the ones I have. Very cute and very summery!
Yes, I love Lilly too! I guess being 5'3" has some advantages though I have to get longer shorts and skirts. I will wear above the knee but not too far. Tommy Bahama has some fun stuff as well.
