Thank you everyone! I really appreciate it

i?m home and doing ok. Very sore in the back but my legs feel better. The doctor told my mom he didn?t know how I was able to walk. What was a left sided laminectomy Turned into a full one. He said he couldn?t in good faith leave the right side undone as my sciatic nerve was totally flat and the soft parts of my spine were calcified.

thanks again!

Mel

yay for your goals- ive had meltdowns and crying fits over pants before. I trained at the gym yesterday (I started a new gym and the owner is training me.) He is a bodybuilder and super buff but super nice and patient but also knows how to get more reps out of me. it was leg day and now I'm all jelly legged and in pain - had to take Tylenol. then I was instructed to do 30 min of fasted cardio first thing in AM. so smart me picks a senior salsa class on you tube, it was marching and hamstring kicks for 30 min... I almost died... now they are really in pain...

didn't sleep again last night- second night in a row so I'm going to take a nap at lunch hour and see how I'm doing after work.

QOTD: growing up I would pile it on top. now I like to dip.

food plan

b: eggs/3 wheat crackers

b2: shake?

l: mahi mahi and stir fry veggies

l2:?

Good morning, happy Taco Tuesday!

QOTD - I am a dipper (regardless of the sauce). I do not like any sauce/gravy to touch my food until I put the individual bite to the sauce. It's a thing. My mother never understood this when I was a kid.

Breakfast - hot black coffee, hot green tea, and topo chico (fasting)

Lunch - Whataburger (all the veggies, no meat, added vegan cheese), french fries and a Dr. Pepper shake (only like 1/4 of it)

Snack - fruit smoothie or toast with avocado butter, peanut butter and jam

Dinner - NO clue at this point. Not sure if we have kiddos still for dinner.

I hope everyone has a great day!

Christina

Quick post as I've got to get youngest son up and take him to PT. QOTD definitely on the side. Really hot and humid here today but Miss Lily and I have our long walk in and I will do 2 more later on. Accountability was spot on food and stepwise and weight is 120.2. Here's the food plan B 1/2c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 3/4 baked potato soup with bacon D 3/4 c chili with cheese. This having to cook real meals for 3 is killing me! Son's leg is doing well and I'm pretty hopeful he'll be able to drive at his 2 week doctor visit. If that's so and he's comfortable we'll head to Indiana August 1. If not we'll let the project leaders know and show up late. Doctor said he'll probably be cleared to drive and do light duty at work at 2 weeks. So we hope that's the case. Have a wonderful day full of healthy choices and stay safe everyone!

Good morning! It is going to be HOT today, so I will be at the beach for most of it. Right now my laundry is in but after I get that done I am packing up!

So one of the individuals in my VSG maintenance group was pondering the following yesterday: "There is such a disconnect between the want and the action. it's actually fascinating when pondered. What 'I want to lose weight' really means is 'I want to be thin'. Losing weight takes action. Being thin is passive. I have been invested in the passive outcome rather than the active process." I think it is quite thought-provoking.

QOTD: Absolutely a dipper for most everything these days. I used to pour the ketchup on when I was a kid until I realized that it made the fries soggy. And sometimes I don't even want ketchup on each fry.

TSS: 4 years, 4 months

B: Coffee! WW zero point egg and banana pancake

L: tuna and cottage cheese

D: crab cake and oysters (out to dinner with former co-worker/friend)

S:bean salad and/or lemon blueberry yogurt pie and/or WW one point muffin

Good Morning! JB- you can tackle both of those, you've got this!! We enjoyed celebrating my hubby's birthday yesterday and he loved the video Em put together. I took Em for a driving lesson and didn't stress her out too much.
