Yes the waiting 4 or 5 days for test results stinks. I just assumed I was negative and sid what I had to do. Luckily I was negative.

Good morning, everybody!

We had a nice weekend. I'm slowly making progress on the virtual race that I joined with Kelly. Finally, I am no longer sitting right outside of the Heavenly ski area and have started to move around the lake. I did 4 miles yesterday, which went OK, even though it was humid.

I went driving with my youngest yesterday and he did well.

QOTD: stop grazing.

Breakfast: Protein bar

Lunch: Mahi sandwich

Snack: nuts

Dinner: Tenderloin

Have a great day, all!

I have to ask, what are these virtual races and walking tours that you are doing on the treadmill? Do I need to buy a new treadmill? Mine is perfectly fine, but does not have any type of screen.

QOTD: I was just excited and looking forward to the new experience. Also had taken the bowel prep and been doing a clear liquid diet all week. My family doctor said the bowel prep would be the worst part of the surgery and he was right. I had my stash of broths, protein shakes, water bottles, and had all my directions printed out and ready to go. It never crossed my mind that regain was possible for me, even though I had seen so many people regain, I thought they just were not following the directions.

My work season keeps getting extended and now it is supposed to end August 1. We asked about whether that was cast in iron and were told that they don't know. Today was supposed to be my first day off of a three month break.

I am thinking of doing something like 100 virtual weigh****chers meetings in a row. I have the usual cleaning, landscaping, and organizing projects to do. I usually start those on April 16. It has been a really crazy year for income tax people. I have absolutely no interest in any food, but have gained three pounds in the last month, solely due to inactivity and working an average of 11 hours a day sitting at a desk.

One of the ladies I work with is in the hospital and quarantined. Since we all are virtual we were not exposed to her. I know she has had a terrible cough for a while and taken some time off when she said she was extremely tired. She is a very wonderful lady and we are all worried about her.

Sorry to hear about your coworker, White Dove. What was scary about hubby's exposure was.that the person he worked with who tested positive had zero symptoms at the time. But now she and her whole family are sick.

My coworker did test positive. They sent her home to quarantine at home. She does not know where she got it. The only thing she can think is that she went to church and had to take her mask off to receive communion.

She seems so much better already. They are giving her a lot of vitamins D and C, plus antibiotics and something for the cough and breathing. She could not take a deep breath on Saturday, but can today.

Glad she's doing better. I have a co worker who has been struggling with it since July 2 (along with her hubbyy and daughter); her daughter (early 20s) is in the hospital so we're all very concerned. I think we're all going to know someone severely impacted soon.

The people that I know personally are all recovered. My sister is a dietitian at a nursing home. They have lost 20% of their patients to COVID. She comes home in tears at least once a week.

Hey! The virtual challenges I do are put together by different organizations and the fees I pay typically go to a charitable organization. They are based on the honor system and usually you can pick a distance and go from there. I haven't done any of the walking tour things on my treadmill but from what I understand with ifit (or something similar) you can walk/run/elliptical with others with the display on the equipment.

Sorry about your coworker! Sending lots of love!

I am not doing any virtual races, right now, but I use iFit which you can either get built into a NordicTrack product or you can download the iFit app to your tablet (for a monthly price) and use an older model machine with iFit. They have thousands of different workouts from all over the world. I took a guided walk through volcanic mud pits in New Zealand this morning! :)

I hope your coworker recovers quickly.

I have a Nordictrack elliptical and use iFit which has recorded workouts, all around the world, different levels and also has studio work outs and now live workouts. All of it syncs with the machine So when you're going up hill it will increase the incline and resistance appropriately. I think you can signup for iFit as an app but it wouldn't control your machine. I find it very motivating for my work outs and a life saver when I need to get in a workout when I start meetings at 5 am!
