^^Ha that that is like an actual photo of what RH looks like, isn't it?^^

Morning and Happy Tuesday! I was right--my principals were back and had a lot of questions! I was pretty slammed all day. It feels good to be busy and helpful though, so I am not complaining :)

I'm already running a little late this morning... I have a bunch of back to back meetings starting at 7:30am and I need to go prep agendas! Gotta run!

QOTD: Do you like to sing along out loud to a song that is playing? I do! I find it almost impossible not to at least hum along when I hear a song I like. And if it's a song I love, I belt it out and attempt harmony. I'm not good or anything, I just love it. Fun fact, Grim does it too, and it scares the CRAP out of our cats! He sings and they run out of the room. We make it a joke--if we need to get a cat to move, we have him belt out, "I will always love you" and they fly out of the room.

Speaking of cats, one of mine ate the eggs I made for breakfast yesterday, so I subbed in a different breakfast with higher points. And later on, I ate a small piece of leftover cake from the cookout, so I ended up over points yesterday :( I am going to try to keep them low today.

Morning all!! Let me start with the meme...

Woke up with screaming pain after a night with very little sleep. DW & the cats were very restless and everything I would drift off, somebody would jump on my toes, knock something off the nightstand or ask "are you awake?" What a zoo!! And now everyone else is sleeping til noon while I have to get some work done until at least 4 today. Maybe I can get a nap in over my lunch break, if I take one....

I go for my follow-up Covid test tomorrow. My first one 2+ weeks ago was negative but my doc wants me to do a follow-up since depending on the timing of the test in relationship with infection can give a false negative. We're so careful about going out and keeping our distance, but before I have more in-person treatment he wants to be sure that I'm not going to pass anything along.

As for accountability, I do pretty well until mid afternoon and then I seem to be out of control. The scale is really not going in the direction I want it to and that makes me frustrated with myself. I'm coming back to add that I know I need to be gentle with myself because normally by 3 or 4 (or earlier) my pain level is high or I am to be able to deal with the pain. It's really hard to make the best decisions when I'm not in a good place. And so the saga continues.

Food today: 2 cups of black Earl Grey tea w/ Miralax and a splash of Carbmaster milk

Carbmaster yogurt w/ blackberries & peaches, slivered almonds

Tea latte w/ protein powder

Everroast chicken w/ grape tomatoes

chicken salad w/ broccoli slaw & other veg

TJ's latte bar

Take care everyone and have a safe & healthy day!

Janet

lol...I'm signed into a WebEx presentation that I need to attend but don't really need the info. Got my feet up and just listening with half an ear. Sometimes working online from home does have some perks....

I hope you find a healthy balance with the Food and the pain. I can see where this would definitely become a struggle. Hoping your Covid test comes back negative and you are on the mend soon. Thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hope the test is negative!

I am surprised to notice how many times I smile at people under my mask and then realize they don't know I am smiling! I guess I need to work on being okay with being less approachable...!
