I did have a cut & color about a month ago, once the salons re-opened. I was a little weirded out by it, but my hairdresser has her own studio in the building (a building of salons), and hers is a one-chair studio, and there are only two studios in the building that are open on Sundays, and they're on different floors. And I was the first client of the day, and both I - and she - had to wear masks. So I felt like it was about as safe as it could be. Otherwise, my hair is longer than usual and more gray since I have to go much longer between hair appts (and I'll continue to go for longer stretches given the cir****tances)

I was lucky: I had my hair cut and highlighted just before the lockdown. About halfway through I cut my own hair and highlighted the roots along my part a bit. I was able to stretch out needing to do anything else until our hair salons reopened at the end of May. My hairdresser owns her own place with no other workers and there is a lot of space so I felt very comfortable going back (we both kept our masks on).

I got my hair cut short, for me...now it's a hot mess. I need a trim but I don't want to risk it before my surgery on the 21st. I hate it and it needs to be shorter.

I switched to home color which was ok (esalon) but went 3 months without a cut and it made me nuts! I was happy to mask up and go to the salon when then opened in June. Very good safety, temp checks, masks, barriers between sinks, half capacity for chairs as well!

My life has not changed. I am an essential worker so I never got to WFH or any of that. I tried to get the boss to do a PJ day for us who stayed in the office but that did not go over very well. My hairstylist has a salon in her house I been going there for over 20 years so I was fortunate that she was able to do my hair without missing any appointments. We have been both masked for every appointment since this has all began. She didn't do many customers just a few close friends so I lucked out.

Good Morning Menu Peeps!

I haven't fallen off the wagon per se- still hanging in pre-quarantine range... just missing the opportunity to lose a few with the nice weather. I am watching the scale not drop. On that note I brought a kick ass pitcher white Sangria to a very small 4th BBQ at my neighbors... can't have both worlds.

Real Estate came and looked at my house this week. While I need some COs/town paperwork she said I do not have to wait to get that to get it on market as NY is a state where norm is 90 days contract to closing.
As soon as I can get out 36 years of clutter I can put it on the market. And the Market is hot.

QOTD: I miss the idea of baseball- I love going to a game but rarely do

my friend just sold her condo in record time - like I think a week. The agent said although there aren't many buyers (at least around here), there's also very little inventory available, so things that do come on the market are selling like hotcakes.

Good luck with the decluttering! I was overwhelmed when I had to do 20 years worth. I have only been where I am 6 years full time but even that feels like a lot to cope with if I decide to sell (which I am considering in 2021).

We moved several times in the last 5 years. Out of our home of (at the time) 11 years) into a condo downtown, then after two years sold the condo, spent a few months in AirBnB's until our home was ready -- back into the house, then all into one room for a total remodel. Every week then and now, I wander around my house and think, do I really want/need/love this? If the answer is no, it goes into the goodwill box and we drop it off every couple of months. It's really helped me with clutter. I had to clean out my in laws home after they passed, and I swore I would not do that to my kids!
