What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?
He is, very much. He thinks he is coolest on the block because of his car.

Are you kidding? It would be a total compliment to him. This kid thinks anything after the 80s is lame (his words). I can't get him anything new. He shops at thrift stores. His bag/satchel collection is bigger than mine. That's why I said he is the epitome of the 70s surfer dude.

Here's what I have learned since I married DH. Real surfers don't advertise their surf or put anything on their cars that might tell somebody they surf. Because there are certain surfing spots that are secret, and if you park your car with surf decals or something like that you are telling other surfers where the spot is. Hence, neither of them has anything surf related on their cars. According to them only wannabe surfers advertise their surfing. At one point I wanted to get a license frame that said surf widow (certain times of the year the guys are more in the water than on land) and he didn't let me, because it would advertise him surfing. Soooo complicated but I've learned to just accept all these rules.
