Morning Morning!

I had to really check that today was Thursday... what a strange week. I guess because I haven't been sleeping, the days have dragged. But somehow the week is already over for me? It's such a weird phenomenon to have days that last forever in a week that flies by! But here we are. One more long da of work for me, and then I am off for another three day weekend. I have zero plans this time, but I am going to put my head down and really get to work on upgrading our Etsy page.

Thanks for making me feel better about never learning to put my bra on the way the cool kids do on tv! Ha! I feel so much better :)

Today should be an adventure... I have no break at all and I am literally "on camera" from 10am - 5pm so I have no idea how I am supposed to eat today, but you know me--I will figure it out, haha. I repeated all of my mistakes from the day before--I ate another cookie and had a few bites of the English muffin. I also went a step further, and ate some trail mix that has been sitting in the cabinet since the first time we went panic-pandemic shopping and bought out shelf stable items. That **** has got to go or I will eat the entire container this weekend! Help me find the strength to dump it out!

QOTD: Do you think your community is doing a good job with controlling Covid-19 and getting out correct information? Here in MA I think we are doing a good job--cases have gone from thousands a day down to about 150 a day and deaths and hospitalizations are down, too. We are in Phase 3 out of 4 of reopening and the things that are in Phase 4 won't reopen until after a vaccine, so we are basically all the way back open (with capacity limitations), as of this week. I haven't seen anyone without a mask in months and I think people are taking it seriously. But we are all prepared for the 2nd wave to come this fall.

BUT, I ask this because (super long story) someone I know lives in Cullman Alabama which has a FB Page that is specifically designed to scare people with misinformation. She asked a bunch of us to join and try to flood it with actual facts. It's fascinating! I am in a little bubble here in MA and I have never really been exposed to the people who believe that the 5G conspiracies are real or would be prepared to shoot someone who tells them to wear a mask. But they believe everything they are saying as much as you believe the sky is blue. I'm shocked and saddened but also fascinated by how different the regions of our country can be.

Good morning! Happy Friday Eve!

QOTD - I think our mayor, and county judge have done the best they can under the constraints of a presidential ass kissing governor who opened Texas up too early. We are reaping the repercussions daily. High record numbers of cases, deaths, with no stopping point in sight. The only good thing is that when I venture out to the grocery store, so far, everyone is in masks.

Breakfast - none, fasting so hot black coffee, topo chico, and hot green tea

Lunch - tacos! Avocado butter, tofu, kale, onions, soyrizo and vegan chao cheese on corn tortillas. Mandarin orange on the side

Snack - fruit smoothie, oat milk, water, fruit, hemp seed protein, chia seeds

Dinner - salad, grilled veggies of some sort, pasta, tofu?

I hope everyone has a great day!

*edit to update food to keep me honest

Good morning everyone! I normally wake up before my alarm goes off, but this morning I was woken up from a deep sleep by my alarm and am extra groggy. Looks like it's going to be a long day.

QOTD: Well where I live they finally implemented a mask requirement order after our cases continued to rise at an alarming rate. So we are doing better. I just think the mask requirement should have been implemented a long time ago instead of just trusting people to do the right thing. So things are improving here.

L: 2 oz low sodium turkey breast and a hard boiled egg

Morning! I haven't been participating in the menu posts because first my sister was visiting and now I've come up to MD to visit my BFF (who has also been strictly socially distancing). My food hasn't really been easily planned and still really isn't. But, I still miss posting daily!

QOTD: No. I don't think NC is doing a good job. I think the governor initially had the appropriate response, but that he's now been pressured by the conservative majority to open faster than we should have. We didn't actually meet markers for any of the Phase 1 or 2 reopening but they went forward anyway. It was only about 2 weeks ago that masks were made mandatory and I'm not really seeing much compliance. Yesterday on our way to MD we had to stop at a gas station and I'd say that a solid 50% of people were unmasked going in/out of the store. Our cases are continuing to rise and so are hospitalizations. Although ventilator use has stayed steady and deaths are low compared to other parts of the country. Also, it's been pretty consistently 8-10% of tests coming back positive. I'm terrified that we have (3) major universities that have ~100k students all returning the end of July/beginning of August. I actually told my friend that I may come live in her basement if things get really bad. I just read yesterday that our university has a "cell" of 37 athletes who have been practicing together infected.

My Food:

  • Coffee w/ HC
  • I have absolutely no idea what else!

Jeez, all the ivy leagues announced they are stopping their fall/winter sports.
But then DH during his run saw the high school football team practicing as if nothing.
How important is this darn football for the schools or the parents? If ivy leagues with all their loss in tv/ad money are stopping the games, why would lower level colleges or for that matter high schools insist on having these kids on the field?

Sorry, I don't know the ranking. I just assumed if ivy leagues are stopping everybody else should follow suit, but what do I know?

They are NCAA D1 sports, so they play against ivy leagues.

Good morning menu friends! I am an expert at dumping out food I can't resist, even though I hate the idea of throwing food away. I just KNOW I can't be trusted around some things and usually put coffee grounds on top of the food too for good measure. QOTD no our area, especially my actual home town is doing terrible. Ninety eight percent of people think it's not a real thing just a ploy by Bill Gates and less than 5 percent of people wear masks. I've been told by a neighbor that I'm a sheeple who just let's people pull my strings. I used to try to educatethem but have given up. Sometimes you can't change stupid! They are going to do what they want at least until their loved ones are affected. I will just avoid the non mask wearers for the 2 weeks I'm home after my son's knee surgery and then go elsewhere. Miss Lily and I have our first long walk in and will do some short walks later. Here lately it's been way too hot for her to go far in the evening. Last night I did another long walk by myself and a short walk with her. Accountability was spot on food and stepwise and weight is 120. Here's the food plan B 1/2c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 3/4 chicken salad D 4 oz of whatever protein hubby cooks. Have a good day and stay safe everyone!
