What's on your Wednesday Menu?
Morning folks!
I've been up and working since 4:45 but it's been alot of clean up since I haven't worked since Thursday. I really needed that time off!
I had my nerve block yesterday and the procedure is horribly painful. They end up triggering migraines and the bruising at the injection site is painful for a few days. Fingers crossed that it helps for a few weeks.
Food was okay yesterday but not perfect. Food today includes:
2 cups of tea with a dribble of Carbmaster milk.
Tea latte w/ protein shake
Early lunch: Curry deli chicken, grape tomatoes
Late lunch: leftover taco guts
Dinner: ?
Snacks: Chomps, TJ's latte bar.
Take care everyone!.
Janet

I am learning as I get older that the procedures seem to get more painful in hope of some relief. This forum has some incredibly strong people. I think your day looks pretty darn good considering. I hope you were able to get some rest after such an early start and that the procedure helps.
Good Morning JB and Menuers,
Sorry to here you had a poor night of sleep. I had some things going on here at work that I had resolved yesterday so I actually had the best sleep I had in about a week. I am just glad it is over.
What does Grim do with all the baked good? I know I been baking a bunch of cookies to get rid of the Whole wheat flour in my closet but I take them to my mothers house so when people come to swim I have treats for them. If I leave them in the house DH will gobble them all and I don't want to torture him like that.
I know I'm running a little late today because I had a check up with my primary health physician. It went great and my bloodwork came back perfect. He did ask if I was proud of myself for the weight loss. I think he was shocked when I said no I am more embarrassed that I let my weight get out of control. Well he said he is proud of me if I am not.
QOTD: I do not know my left from right either. In my head I picture myself and at stop light a figure out from there which is my left and right. I know the right turn you don't have to cross a lane and the left turn you cross a lane. And I always put my bra on and turn it around . Until this moment I did not know there was any other way. And the only other thing I can think of is I can not make a pie crust from scratch. I have a cousin who said he will teach me this fall so will see maybe this will not be an issue in the future.
Accountability: I think I did good maybe some extra cheese curd I probable didn't need but other than that I was good.

I can relate to the embarrassment of letting the weight getting out of control before WLS. I look at some pics from then and think "why did I give up on myself?" But then I know it wasn't giving up but self soothing. I kept fighting, I kept getting up and trying another diet. Thank god for WLS and giving us the relative peace of mind. The struggle is never over, but now it's manageable.

G'morning everybody!
JB - Consider my mind blown. I didn't know you can wear your bra any other way than hook it in the front and twist it. I will try the other way today and report back! ;)
I have a couple of friends who are teachers and with this open the school pu****'s been really stressful for them. My very good friend is a kindergarten teacher in an area where most of the kids come from low income or migrant families. When the SIP happened in March she was more worried about the kids having to eat than studying, let alone if they had computers, internet or wifi. If they actually open the schools (mid August) she is super worried about the number of kids in her class and how to keep them and herself safe. She is the sole provider for herself and her college age daughter, otherwise she had thought of taking an early retirement. The lack of leadership in this country is putting so much stress on everyday people.
QOTD: so in addition to that bra thing, I can never figure out my north, south, east and west. I hate when ppl tell me turn south for about a mile. Dude, tell me left or right. I also have a hard time remembering how many pints, quarts, oz go into each other. I have given up on the American measuring system including the yards, feet and inches. When somebody says it's 500 yards away I have no concept what it means.
Accountability: yay!
My meals yesterday:
B: scrambled eggs with shredded cheese + coffee
S1: hard boiled egg + quest chips
L: TJ shrimp stir fry
S2: pumpkin protein mug cake
D: skipped
E: 30 minutes cardio + 45 minutes strength training
Have a great hump day, everybody.

yards is actually the only easy one. its pretty close to meter. Temperature is the one that throws me. 9/5 plus 32 is hard to do quickly.
Jim Age 58 Height 6 Feet Consult Weight 344 SW 289 Pre-Surgery -55, M1 -25, M2 -16, M3 -21, M4 -10, M5 -5, M6 -1, M7 -4, M8 0, M9 +4, M10 -4
I learned anything above 80 degrees is hot. On my weather app I have it in Celsius so I can actually understand the temps.
Thank you for the yard tip, it actually helps. Car GPS keeps saying in 500 yards turn left and I can't figure out if it's a block or not. 500 meters I can envision. Wow, 25 years here and I can finally figure out yards.
