Good morning, everybody!

My oldest son passed his Driver's test on Friday, so that got the weekend started on a high note for us. He even took my younger son out to run an errand on Friday afternoon. Of course the errand involved my Amex card.

My youngest is actually out driving right now, so he isn't wasting any time.

We had a pretty good weekend. Yesterday we went to pool party with some of Marilyn's friends from tennis.

QOTD: It would be a combination of Kelly and JB's answers. Slow it down for family time and working on fun projects.

Breakfast: Protein bar

Lunch: Brisket

Snack: nuts

Dinner: Hello Fresh

Have a great day, all!

Congratulations to DS. When we were kids we could not wait to drive. I had my permit when I was 15 and took my drivers test on my 16th birthday. Kids now a days don't find the need to get one. I fellow I work with had to teach his daughter to drive last year. She graduated college and Had to get a license just to get a job. Crazy how times change.

I agree--it's the craziest generational shift ever! No one I knew would have waited one single second after they could to get their license, but kids don't want them now!

Good Morning JB and Menuers,

I had a wonderful 3 day weekend with socially distanced pool days and ****tails. I really don't have much more I can do. I get up in the morning Run go home make sure there is food for the day then I head to my Moms vacuum the pool and usually hang out till dinner time. My mom is 81 and was a trooper all weekend. I really don't remember her getting out of the pool to much. I'll bet she will be glad to have me back at work today. I am sure it is way more peaceful without me and my friends around. However since I already got my exercise done for the day I may go and jump in the pool for a bit after dinner to cool down.

QOTD: I'd have to say Vacation. I love going away especially an all inclusive resort when you have nothing on your mind and don't have to worry about anything. No laundry, cooking, dishes, cleaning , or working. I am curious of how these facilities will look in the future.

Accountability: I over ate pretty much all weekend. Back on track today.

TSS: 2 years 6 Month 25 days 136 (lowest 130.8)

CB: Dark roast coffee with SF ID Caramel Macchiato w/Miralax and Fiber

MS: Oikos salted caramel Greek yogurt yogurt, and fresh mixed berries.

CB2: Dark roast coffee with SF ID Caramel Macchiato

L: BBQ chicken bake.

Water and vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and my blood work has been good. My B12 has been High so I cut my sublingual to every 3rd or 4th day. And I have now added 500mg of Magnesium

Everybody have a Great week.

Brightest Blessings,

Welcome to a new week. By the end of it all my living children may be under my roof. Strange times. DS is here of course until he can get a job. Somewhat local DD is coming for a few days to work from here instead of her apartment mostly to have a change of venue (she has been doing this every couple of weeks lately). Florida DSD is escaping that state once she gets the hopefully negative results of the Covid test she took yesterday. She plans to drive straight through if she can (though she may need one overnight stop) and stay at least through September. It may not be with me the entire time, but I told her she is welcome.

Accountability: Let's just say it was a long holiday weekend and I am looking forward to eating on plan today.

QOTD: Oh boy - freezing time to have more of it? That is a hard concept to get my head around right now. I kind of want to fast-forward and get out of this strange nether world caused by DH's passing and then the viru****ting the world.

TSS: 4 years, 3 months

B: Coffee! Eggs and laughing cow cheese scrambled

L: tuna salad and cottage cheese

D: Healthy Choice meal probably or maybe shrimp

S:bean salad and/or lemon blueberry yogurt pie and/or WW one point muffin

G'morning everybody!

Long weekend. During the holidays the social distancing hits me because our house was always party central. DS got his dream car, a 1985 VW Westfalia with 90,000 miles on it. Usually these cars have a ton more miles on them so I guess we were lucky we found a relatively low mileage car. He is VERY happy.

I read somewhere that if you hug tight your pet during fireworks they don't get scared as much. At the beginning of the night, on the 4th, Luna was going crazy. Down on the beach people were shooting all kinds of fireworks. So I picked her up and hugged her tight and didn't let her go. Lo and behold she calmed down and stayed in my arms the whole time the fireworks were going off.

QOTD: as any parent would tell you, you wanna freeze the kids at a certain age. Right before they become know it all but after they are all needy.

Accountability: HORRIBLE during the weekend

My meals yesterday: let's just say thank god the weekend is over.

Happy start of the week.

Good morning. Back pain is still bad, but is improving with the new approach from PT (though slowly). I swam yesterday and it felt great. The gym pool reopened 7/1, so I gave it a shot yesterday. I also hit the ho****er therapy pool and then sat outside by the outdoor pool. Overall nice - not crowded, so social distancing was easy. I also went on a bike ride with my wife and we had a nice time. She couldn't go far, so it was just a nice short outing. My weight is still dropping as I have a hard time eating enough (likely a mix of the pain and pain meds sucking my desire to eat), though it might be time to talk to the nutritionist, etc. I'm logging everything so we can have a conversation. CW 160.

QOTD - freeze time while I'm relaxing and reading. I've been doing that these last few weeks, sitting with an iced tea. So nice. I sit for two hours and wish i could do it longer.

B - 1 eggbite from costco, 1oz cheddar cheese and 1/2 english muffin

S - BoBo muffin and 1 tbs PB

L - Minestrone soup with some steak (3 oz)

S - Fruit and a protein drink

D - Small salad and some more steak (4 oz) from 7/4, so good. I'll add some good fat to the salad to add calories.

S - Frozen yogurt rootbeer float. I use the A&W drink sticks with just a splash of seltzer water and maybe the last of the watermelon.

Doing my best to eat more and slow the loss.

Good morning!

Yesterday was a successful day of grocery shopping and getting supplies for the RV. We need EVERYTHING again. We gave our last trailer to our son a few years ago. My husband kept saying "the things we re-buy?!?". I cleaned out the kitchen drawers with things we can use as duplicates to keep in the RV like dish cloths and spatulas and coffee mugs. Clearly, I have too much crap! Then we got everything washed and ready to load in when he brings it home on Friday. Made a great dinner. The brick chicken turned out perfect and that and the roasted carrots sat well in my stomach. Between the grilling and the stop at Chipolte's for lunch yesterday, I am set on lunches for the week.

QOTD: Spending time with family and friends around a table laughing and gabbing. Never enough hours in my day for this. #Retirementgoals

Menu:

B: coffee and 1/2 PP shake

L: grilled chicken, salad greens, a little white cheddar

D: a little chicken casserole, salad

S: 1/2 PP shake and, if needed, beef jerky

Peace everybody!

I think my memory is my way to freeze time and go back to something again.

I blame the bars being closed for a lot of the fireworks. The people who are usually sitting in bars on the holiday were all at home and bored. The fireworks lasted long past midnight Saturday and there were still some yesterday.
