What's on your Monday Menu?

Hi Team! Welcome back to Monday! I feel like I had a month off! Thursday morning was a super quiet day at work and the Mayor let us "leave" at 2pm for the long weekend, so it feels like ages since I have worked. Unfortunately the last thing I did before logging off was attend a training to learn something really complicated. But with 3.5 days off since thinking about it, I have forgotten all of it. I need to dig in and find time to re-train myself today!
The weekend was so nice. I went to the virtual wine & cheese tasting which was lovely, helped my parents with a lot of tech & household stuff, watched Hamilton twice, organized a bunch of things that were on my list to do, and ended the long weekend with a long walk along the ocean and ate my first lobster roll of the season. Yay! 10 out of 10 stars for this weekend :)
QOTD: If you woke up with the ability to freeze and unfreeze time, what would you do with it? I love quiet sedentary activities by myself but I don't always find time for it. Yesterday's walk along the ocean was so nice-- I wish I could find more time in my life for moments like that! I would also like to read more books, and find more time to do art projects.
I still have 1/2 of my lobster roll left so I will have that for dinner. I also rearranged some cabinets and realized that I still have a ton of protein powder that I should start using again, mostly because the huge containers are taking up too much space! I am going to have a shake with breakfast and add some protein powder to a greek yogurt later and make myself a fake protein fro-yo. I used to have these all the time and they are so yummy :) ....just looked at the menu below and see that I accidentally added two yogurts! Nope, I am just having one, but I don't feel like redoing the menu and uploading a new picture.

Happy Monday!! Now that the holiday is over, It feel like the month can start in earnest.
I had a low key long weekend and spent all day yesterday reading. My neighborhood was setting off fireworks until around 2 am, given we are in fire ban with NO fireworks allowed, not even ones that don't leave the ground, it was stupid. Fortunately we had some rain on Saturday and I only heard of one house in the subdivision catching fire (no one was hurt, just exterior damage). People can be very stupid.
today, I have a busy day at work, a break for a mid day Pilates class, then one last meeting. July's iFiT walking challenge is only 7 sessions so I'm going to start working one that, with a Utah based interval hike.
Today menu is
overnight oats
carbmaster cottage cheese
keto soda bread with 8 blackberries
l&f antioxidant (this a new to me L&F -- 90 calories vs the usual 80 in L&F greek, but more protein and fewer carbs).
half and half in my 3 coffees
have a wonderful Monday and start to the week!

Firework were crazy this weekend. I am not a fan. When I got up to run each morning I knew all the culprits. The roads had lots of firework litter. Some had those snaps the kids throw and they pop all over in front of there driveways. As I ran I hit a few that didn't pop and they snapped. Scared me at first but then I would look down and see if I could run on them on purpose.

My only solace in how many fireworks went off in our neighborhood this weekend is that maybe everyone has run out now? Praying. I miss sleep.
It always bothers me how inconsiderate others are when it comes to fireworks. Especially when they keep setting them off well into the early hours of the morning. I would like to pay them back by making enough noise to wake them at 5AM, and see how much they enjoy their sleep being interrupted. It just makes me crazy, and all of the fireworks they are using are illegal in this state but no one does anything about it. They always talk tough about cracking down on the illegal ones, but nothing ever gets done.

We have a ban too....yeah still tons of fireworks. A house burned down here from the stupid stuff. For what? A cheap thrill. Ugh.
I'll be glad when the folks run out of them.

hi all
we had a pretty good weekend also- ran back to GA on Friday. went to new gym sat, then back up here after. Then DH and I went shopping for our online stores Sunday which was very productive... lots of new goodies!!!
weight is in a bad zone for me and will not budge... I'm getting very unhappy so I need to see some results soon. also need to go in for an checkup, I'm overdue for labs, etc. so basically- I need to get my ducks in order, eat less, and drink more water, and move more... and make sure nothing medically is wrong with me.
QOTD: I would say shop and sleep...
food plan
protein pancake with pumpkin puree topping
shake?
chicken with salad greens
unsure of rest, meat and veggies/zucchini
My hope is you get back on track. You been through a lot do not beat yourself up. Now it's time to remember why you had the surgery and what it took to get here. We see too many come here who have let it get to far out of control. The fact that you are still here all the time is a good sign. I got you in my prayers I know you can reel it in. You got this.
