G'morning everybody!

Today DH & DS are driving all the way to Sacramento (about 2.5 hrs drive each way)to check a couple of VW Westfalia they think are worth checking. After today there are three cars in consideration and who knows, by this weekend he might have a car. He drives a Ford Escape but this will be really his car and to his liking. It's also our present to him for college.

I went for my teeth cleaning yesterday and it was funny seeing the staff at the dentist office. They were all dressed like in hazmat suits and had face shields. My poor hygienist had a hard time making herself heard between the face shield, the mask and the gurgling of the machines. So after a couple of tries she just gave up. It was weird having my teeth cleaned without her talking to me constantly.

QOTD: I'm with Karen. White chocolate was my favorite and I would eat until I explode. Nowadays I buy only super dark bcz I don't eat much of it but takes the chocolate craving away.

My meals yesterday:

  • B: protein coffee
  • L: Costco egg bites
  • S: Greek yogurt + 30 dark choc chips
  • D: chicken breast and veggies
  • E: 30 mins cardio + 45 mins weight training

My pics are from my walks with Luna. I love it when the sun makes the surface of the ocean look like full of diamonds. Also, there are so many birds of paradise in my neighborhood, it's crazy. Maybe they are very common here but in Italy these flowers are EXPENSIVE!

Happy 4th! Stay safe and inside.

Glad to see I'm not the only white chocolate fan here. Your pictures are beautiful, Sheila!

QOTD- Dark chocolate, milk usually seems too sweet to me.

Working today like most of the other contractors. I'm not sure how much I'll get done, but I'm at my desk and answering emails and available on teams.

I've been trying to walk every day, I missed Monday but yesterday I had over 12K steps between my 3.4 mile walk and trips to the hardware store and grocery store, and also cleaning my horses stall at the barn. I do feel much better when I get some exercise in. I've got my exercise mat, pink of course so now I just need to start using it.

I don't normally get seasonal allergies but this year I have. So tired of my nose running, eyes itching and all of that. I've been taking an antihistamine, I've traded off between Zyzal, Zyrtec & I just tried Allegra. I'm not sure which one works the best, but I guess I didn't want my body to get used to something and possibly become less effective. Or maybe I'm just nuts....

I've got the windows open, the birds are chirping and I've got coffee, so life is good!

Have a great day everyone! I hope the fireworks aren't bad for all of you and your fur babies, be safe and take care of yourselves!

Hi everyone,

My poor little dog is still recovering from the fireworks marathon this past week, Yesterday he refused to leave the house - even to go for a walk. He seems to have a bladder of iron, so fortunately no accidents. I called him this morning to go for a walk - usually his favourite thing- and he ran upstairs. When he came back down, I just put his leash on him and we went. He was happy once we actually got going - and had to pee A LOT!! lol

QOTD- A good quality milk chocolate would be my first choice, and then, also good quality dark. I'm not a fan of Lindor chocolate, and i don't like chocolate cake, or most desserts with chocolate in them. But I do like a piece of chocolate every now and then. Strangely Chocolate ice cream is my favourite.

I only worked 2 days this week, but I'm so excited for the weekend to get here. I have one more thing to do, but the VPN is very slow today so it's taking a long time.

Yesterday was another day that wasn't so great I did stay in the calorie range but went over on carbs. My youngest decided to make crepes for the first time. He doesn't usually care if I don't try things, but he was excited about the crepes, so I had a small one. But it still threw off my carbs for the day. My weight is holding at 188, which I expected to happen soon anyway.

Menu:

I had a sugar free custard and strawberries for breakfast

Lunch:

2 pieces of jerk chicken, and a thin slice of bread with strawberry jam

Dinner- Pork souvlaki with greek salad
