What's on your Thursday Menu?

OMG I can completely relate to that face. I think that's how I have looked all week, tbh.
I keep seeing the alarming news reports from TX and have wondered if they will keep your surgery date. I know when we had our surge here, they canceled everything to keep the beds available for Covid patients. But things are back up and running again after 3 months, so hopefully if it is on hold, it will be brief.
Mornin' All!
I woke up at 5:30 to make sure DH got started on time on the second part of his (colonoscopy) prep fluid. It took him much too long to drink the first half last night, so I need to crack the whip this morning! He goes in at 2:30 this afternoon, so I'll be going with him. I never got around to one of the things I meant to do yesterday (typing up - and sending out - some minutes I took for a committee meeting last week), so I'll do that while he's in the procedure room. It'll give me something to do besides twiddle my thumbs..
otherwise, I'm planning to take a bike ride this morning - probably soon - before it gets too hot. We're supposed to have another scorcher of a day today. Ugh.
accountability was good yesterday, but I'm feeling a bit bloated this morning. Looking forward to this bike ride. I'll also slam the fluids today.
QOTD: I don't really have any hobbies that involve space. Most of the things that resemble "hobbies" for me are either online or outside - so, no.
TSS: 5y
B: cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie with 2 T light Cool Whip and strawberry compote, coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: 2 Costco chicken skewers, leftover lunch from yesterday (I got pad thai at our low carb restaurant (that is unfortunately closing at the end of the month - another COVID victim). They use zoodles instead of noodles. It also has carrots and bell pepper pieces in it. It had grilled chicken on it when I got it - but I ate all the chicken yesterday)
AS: I'll be at the hospital with DH - I'll probably take a protein bar with me just in case as I don't think there'll be many options if I need a snack
D: carnitas taco
this is a picture of me from three years ago, when I was at my lowest weight. I've since gained 20 lbs - boo. Not sure I have the resolve to get back down that far, but I've been working on losing 10 of it. What a struggle! Anyway, the good thing is, I no longer have that unsightly roll of excess skin around my middle, so not all is negative! (UPDATE: I just checked my spread sheet. I weighed 143 that week. 158 now. So 15 lbs more, not 20. So this wasn't my lowest weight. I'd like to get back to 150, as I felt the best at that weight...)

That virtual wine and cheese tasting sounds fun! One of our marketing teams did a virtual mixology class recently; they sent everyone the booze and a nice ****tail shaker and then led them through it. Seemed fun!
Qotd - I guess my two hobbies are reading and travel photography and they have taken over all the rooms in my house. I have three prints on the guest room bed waiting for me to get them framed and books everywhere!
here are a couple pictures of the ones I've had done and hung up.
today is my Friday as well! virtual bookclub after work and then Lots of random things to do tomorrow and then planning on ending the day with the live tweet of Hamilton by Historians at the Movies and the Hamilton cast. Very excited to watch the original cast performance. After that, I plan on an electronics brea****il Monday.
menu today is up in the air. I have some leftovers and think I will start the day with some almond four bread toasted with PB. Outside of that, it's a mystery!
hope everyone has a good end to the week and a great long weekend for the 4th (and belated happy Canada Day to our northern contingent too)

Do I spy the Swiss guard in Vatican?
And a corner of Colosseum?
Great pics.

Yes! I thought that shot of the Swiss Guard was great -- although I got in trouble from security because I had stepped off the stairs, saw that he was moving so I stepped back up and they yelled at me! Apparently, once you are headed away, you must keep moving away. The Colosseum was my first night in Italy and it was perfect:-)
