Good morning menu friends! Miss Lily did not walk with me this morning as it's getting ready to storm and she is already nervous and scared. One look at the dark sky and a distant rumble of thunder and she planted her feet and would not move. So I took her in gave her some melatonin and made a bed for her under the corner of the bed and in the shower and headed out by myself. She was under the bed sleeping when I got back. It looks like it could get nasty soon. QOTD to my right is a shelf with my coffee and to my left where Lily usually is is my knitting. Accountability was spot on food and stepwise and weight is 120.4. Here's the food plan B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter L 4 oz salmon(last of leftovers) D 3/4 c chili with cheese. I hope to get my fluids in(terrible job yesterday) and avoid the snacks(did good there). Have a great day full of smart choices and stay safe everyone!

That's amazing that you didn't take that as an excuse to skip a walk. You're such an inspiration!

Poor Lily! Justice is petrified of rain and thunder too. I think it might be because he was a stray and probably got caught in quite a few storms down in Florida. I finally got him so he will do a quick piddle when I bring him out under a huge golf umbrella, but there is no sniffing around and lingering.

a friend of mine who used to breed Llasa Apsos said puppies born in the summer typically aren't afraid of rain and thunder since they hear it from the time they're very young, but that's not true of puppies born in colder weather. So she used to play CDs of rain and thunder for her new litters who were born during colder times of the year. Of course, if Justice was born in Florida, then this wouldn't apply to him...

Justice had 2-4 years of life before we met him. We know he was picked up as a stray in Florida in the county hit the hardest by Hurricane Irma about a couple of months after the hurricane. So who knows???? He could have been born elsewhere in the winter, he could have been out in the hurricane, or maybe he just never liked storms!

Aw poor little Justice was a stray? I am glad he found a home with you. With a stray you never know what memories they have gone through in life. I always dread nights with fireworks because they are so scary to my cat.

hi all

yesterday was a bit crazy. DH did well and I went into the office for the first time since I left in may- it was dirty so I organized and cleaned a little, and grabbed a few things to take back.

tried to keep the food on schedule but didn't do my best with that- will work hrder on it today. needed to stay at home last night in case DH needed me so I spent $49 on instantcart. tons of veggies, almond milk etc. yay for that. still forgot avocados

food today:

b: prot pancakes

b2: shake with instant coffee bits (think the dalgona coffee recipe but as a protein shake)

l: mushrooms and chicken

l2: more veggies and a meat

d: pizza for dh, not sure for me- I have leftover turkey meatloaf and veg

s: unsure

QOTD: at office desk which is a folding picnic table and a nice comfy chair. I'm going to see if I can just take this back with me... two computer monitors, owl coffee cup on right, phone on left. reference book I'm studying on left.

Did your husband find relief with the procedure he had? If so what did he have done. My DH had an epidural on Friday and it did not help at all.
